Ordered roll sashimi tray and was soo good as usual. Tomita is my go to restaurant. Sashimi is not dry (white fish sashimi is usually dry like tai).

Ordered sushi sashimi tray. It is not bad but hmm…I think I would rather to order roll sashimi tray other tray. This is kinda not worth. Too many imitation crabs.

Had tomita tray. It looked delicious, but the rice and sashimi smelled awful. They smelled as if they had gone bad.
My friend and I ordered the bento boxes (beef and salmon) and they did not skimp on the beef or salmon amounts. The sushi was well wrapped. The miso soup was warm and had the right amount of seaweed and tofu. The tempura was crispy and had lots of pieces too. We walked in and placed our orders and the food was ready to go within 20 minutes. Total was $16 after tax. Very well worth it.
Good pricing.
The person on the phone that took our order was nice. 🙂 Their staff has been nicer than other sushi places in Cambridge, in my experience.
Taste-wise and quality-wise, it’s the same as other sushi places in Cambridge.
I recommend Tomita Sushi for anyone in the area.
I ordered takeout from here twice. First during opening week, once again in Sept 2021. Both times I was quite underwhelmed… Ton Katsu was extremely bland, cut way too thin tough to chew, and just NOT GOOD at all. All the regular Maki rolls and special rolls are very mediocre as well. The sashimi / nigiri is slightly chewy which is not how it’s supposed to be… also the “Alaska roll” is not even an Alaska Roll, just a salmon avocado roll. The rainbow roll was the only redeeming thing I had that makes overall food rating a 2*
The whole menu was so packed with things yet so little I actually took interest. The lack of proper traditional maki rolls like chopped scallop and negitoro makes me really question why there’s Lo Mein on the menu…. but it is the only Sushi Restaurant in Galt and it has a decent price, so I’ll still come back when I reall crave Sushi.
Food is always fresh, good portions, nice presentation and fast delivery via Uber Eats.
You can also order to pickup an eat at home.
I really enjoy the salmon sashimi every time we order.
