We celebrated my daughter’s graduation in their wine cellar and it was amazing!! Ezekiel, made sure my vision came to life. ( I am very grateful) The decorations and food was wonderful. Jose was an amazing waiter. I love occasionally having dinner at Tombolino. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is very sweet. The last time my love and I ate here, our waiter Jose was so kind. He also understood that we were in a bit of a rush and made sure the food came out quickly. We were truly appreciative. I would highly recommend the steak and lamb special if they have it again.

I’ve been here twice in my life – once when I was in the single digits in age and then again more recently. Obviously I don’t remember much from the time I went as a kid aside from remembering I was in the upstairs area.
From what I understand, ownership has changed at least once so I can only comment on the current ownership.
Everyone was friendly, which goes a long way. The owner and the staff were all great. One notable thing was that the appetizers were taking a few minutes more to come out (not that I complained about it or minded), but they took notice of it and gave the table some small rice balls. I thought that it was a nice gesture. A lot of places don’t pay attention to such things.
The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.
There are plenty of options with food. I cheated a little and checked the menu out online a day or so before coming here, so I already had my probable picks. Everything was great of course.
Parking is pretty much street. Use caution when parking at a meter, but plenty of street parking without a meter on Kimball Avenue.
Glad I gave this place a shot and I’d definitely return here.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. My family went for Thanksgiving, and we are never going back. Starting off, the bread was stale and like a brick, the butter was frozen, and the waiter had an attitude with us when we asked for different bread warmed up because the first one was not edible. For appetizers my table got 20$+ shrimp cocktail that had only 4 small shrimp in it? The calamari we ordered tasted like straight ocean, almost raw, not cooked properly for sure. I asked for chicken cutlet instead of shrimp with my pasta, and they bring me grilled chicken and tell me that’s all they were able to do. The pasta in my wife’s bolognese tasted like pure egg, not pasta. Finally as we thought it couldn’t get worse, we got crème brûlée cheesecake and cannolis. They brought us regular cheesecake, not even a hint of crème brûlée, and the cannolis were hollow in the middle. I thought we were going somewhere nice for Thanksgiving but it was all and all a disaster. Never again.

What a wonderful place. You have to come here if you want excellent service, delicious food, and a lovely setting. About twenty friends and family members joined me in celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday; they helped me put everything up and prepare the event, and my dad had a terrific time. I will definitely be going again. When he arrived, a band even performed happy birthday. It was a lot of fun. Thank you Ezekiel !

AFC URGENT CARE MOUNT VERNON HOSTED OUR TEAM CHRISTMAS PARTY AT TOMBOLINOS RESTAURANT. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.THE ATMOSPHERE WAS WARM AND FESTIVE. THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING- FROM FRESH PASTA TO ALL ITALIAN FAVORITES. THE SERVICE WAS SEAMLESS FOR A LARGE GROUP. STAFF WERE ATTENTIVE, ORGANIZED AND MADE THE EXPERIENCE JOYFUL & RELAXED. EZEKIAL WAS VERY RESPONSIVE, ACCOMODATING, PROMPT AND FLEXIBLE.

I came here to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great choice! The calamari was absolutely divine — perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was excellent too — everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the night feel special. Highly recommend for a nice night out or any celebration!
