7/18/25 12:50pm Fri place empty on beautiful day. Now i know why. Says wait to be seated but 2 staff ignored me & when finally attended had no smile or words. The place has no ac or fans and when I mentioned it being warm server didn’t respond. Then i realized place smelled like urine !!! (from using same mop for bathroom everywhere! Will report to health dept). Also a large filled trash bag on restaurant seat. The table was sticky all over! Gross.
Sandwich served on same plate as a salad and was soggy and wet from the dressing . No bueno. Server didn’t care.

It’s okay. The food is very non offensive and the ingredients all taste like they’re straight out of the Sysco catalog. Just no depth in the flavor. The service was great, but we probably won’t be back.

Great place for family gatherings. We came on the First of January, and everyone has been very welcoming. Staff and customers all had smiles and laughter.
This place is well decorated and brings a cozy atmosphere to customers. The staff were so nice and friendly.
They had this New Year Eve combos, but we thought it was too much, so we just ordered the food separately. We got one Calamari Fritti, Mama’s Special Pasta and Meatballs, one Kid’s pizza for the little one, and wrapped up with Gelato as desserts.
The food was very good, actually. We didn’t have Italian cuisine much, but we all enjoyed these. My personal favorite was the Gelato. Too bad, we had plans for later so I couldn’t order a pint of gelato to take home. Will get it again next time!

The food was very good. Short staffed??? The staff was friendly, but it took a while to get our food. The bathrooms were very dirty. We were very surprised because the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Great service and clean! The food was tasty but just a bit bland and it seemed a bit over priced. The crowd is older, which was no problem for me. Super clean bathroom which was much appreciated!

Pretty good and decently priced. Only complaint was the pesto was pretty oily, there was a pool of oil left when I finished.

Went back and had a much better experience! Pretty big portions and great flavor. The shrimp campanelle had an amazing Pretty big portions and great flavor. The shrimp campanelle had an amazing smoked Gouda sauce that everyone loved when they tried it! Friends were saying it was the winner of the meal. Our server was also incredibly friendly and really lovely to talk to!

Ordered a pizza via delivery and the crust had gotten a little soggier during the delivery time but still tasty. Good amount of protein, pepperoni, sausage, etc. Also ordered the Chopped Antipasto salad which was extremely large and filling. Decent amount of smoked meats, plenty of dressing on the side.

This review is overdue. I dined in at Tomatina’s San Mateo 2 months ago. The food was really good. I ordered the chicken rigatoni (seasonal special). Sam & Andrea had great customer service.
