I loved the crab fried rice here! So delicious! Not a ton of seating room, but the food was amazing! Reasonably priced too in my opinion. The crab fried rice was I think $13 and could feed two people.

As a Thai, this is our go-to place for delicious green papaya salad and some authentic dishes. The shop is small with a few seats but quiet and cozy. Really nice place to unwind as there’s not many who actually dine in. The place is run by two people, the chef lady in the kitchen and the gentleman as the cashier and server. It looks to be a popular take-out place so expect extra wait time for dine-in ordered food.

Food and service were great. Looking forward to coming back again when I’m in Chicago. Staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed while dining in.

Came by for lunch. Had the pad that lunch special, came with soup, choice of spring roll or Rangoon. The pad thai was a little on the sweet side, it was missing peanuts and lime. Other than that it was still tasty. The pork curry was also good.

Went to see if I could find the same taste from my favorite Thai spot back home. It wasn’t found here. I instead was humbled in remembering that each chef has their own style, flavor, and take on any one dish. I ordered the tum kha soup, pad Thai, and Thai iced tea. All were delicious. Thank you Tom Yum Cafe!

Good authentic dishes but I had better. Excellent tom yum shrimp but another dishes was okay. Place too small, food will be long wait if busy and almost impossible to find parking.

Don’t go to Thailand for Tom yum. Let it come to you. Eat here. I found a genuine Thai person who said it’s as legit as the Thai cook making it. Tom yummmm!

Do yourself a favor and swing by for the lunch special. Spring rolls have tofu (but there’s other choices, if you like crab rangoon), and the sauce is perfect.

I had stopped ordering from here about 3 years ago since the food was no longer good…I had been a loyal customer since 2016. I have been ordering from all the recommended other sources and they all seem to have gone down lately. I thought I would give Tum Yum another try since their reviews seem to have gone up and since the others were disappointing lately and WOW! They’re back! Food was reasonably priced, portions were generous and the quality was exceptional! I’m back to being a loyal customer again!…so happy!
