Echoing all the prior reviews, this place is beyond impressive especially at this price level.
There was an hour wait for dinner, but there were also plenty of things & coffee shops nearby to kill time.
The knife work was great on the sashimi. Thick & uniform cuts. Fish were fresh & buttery and needed little to no soy sauce. The roll was great, as well. The crunchy (shrimp?) bit in the middle was a great touch.
I’m looking forward to trying more sashimi here on my next visit.

So worth the hype! Sushi is definitely on the pricier side but everything is made so meticulously and delicious. Foie gras is the star of the whole meal. Other items are also all good.
The wait is very long even on a Monday lunch (1hr) so just put your name on the wait list and walk around the area.

Toms Sushi is my absolute favorite sushi place in downtown Vancouver. Whenever I crave sushi this is always our first choice. The quality is consistently high and everything tastes incredibly fresh and delicious. Their rolls, sashimi, and appetizers all have a clean and vibrant flavor that shows how carefully they prepare each dish.
The staff members are very professional and attentive, and the service feels smooth even when the restaurant is busy. The only challenge is the wait time. You usually need to stay on the waitlist for more than half an hour. I really wish they offered reservations because the place is always in high demand.
Even with the wait, the food is worth it every single time. It remains my top recommendation for sushi in the city.

Finally got into this place because it’s always so busy! Had to wait maybe 20 mins even on off peak hours.
Overall if you want a more premium experience, this place is great (although u could find great sushi at a lower price point). The blck dragon roll and deluxe hako aburi sushi were really good. Was pleasantly surprised by the crunchy tempura inside the aburi sushi.
The red dynamite roll was just okay for me but my friend really liked it.

I had such a great experience at Tom Sushi! The restaurant had really good vibes and the staffs were incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. All the dishes were fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The nigiri was super fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, they always checking in with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed. Great sushi, amazing service. Highly recommend! ✨

This small, unassuming restaurant, packs some amazing sushi. Well worth the 40 minute wait. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful their dishes were. When I am back in Vancouver, I will definitely be dining here again!

Tom sushi is top-tier very fresh sushi located in the West End where there is ample competition for your dining experience. The food quality is exceptional and attention to detail cannot be ignored. Great presentation and very reasonable prices for this level of quality
We arrived late in the evening as our efforts to go to another West End restaurant failed us. Glad we came to Tom sushi as Every dish was presented very quickly and was freshly prepared even though it was close to last call shortly.
I had the teriyaki chicken with rice, which was a very generous serving for again an extremely reasonable price. I also had chicken karaage which was freshly deep-fried and not refried stationed food
The tuna and salmon sashimi were cold and generously cut. Aburi Sushi was perfectly pressed with jalapeño pepper to add some heat
This is awesome value here and I should come more regularly. Toms commitment to quality shows with his success, I am eager to check out his other 2 restaurants.

Lucked out when nobody was in line.
The cod was exquisite… though the warning for lactose intolerant people… I think there’s dairy in it.
Most people I know go for the sushi / sashimi (which has generous portions).
