Anytime I get the chance to order a peanut butter burger at a bar I’ve never been to I get it and am never let down. Tom Sawyer’s waitress “Audrey” gave us outstanding service as well as the others out on the deck. We went straight to the patio and she came right out to give us menu’s and order some drinks. The patio has a great over look of the river.

This place is a fantastic find in French Island, WI. Ally, my server, was terrific in her recommendations and friendly. I ordered the 10 oz. Prime Rib is super juicy and smothered in mushrooms, and seasoned perfectly. The Cauliflower starter is delicious. I ordered a pizza to go home with, and mmmmuwah! This place is a winner for me. The portions for the Friday fish fry are great! The salad before the meal was amazing along with the creamy coleslaw! We had the pan fried and broiled Haddock! Both were prepared exquisitely! I believe the tartar is home made? The side veggies were perfect el dente with a nice golden brown breading. The cheesy scalloped potatoes were delightful! The wait is worth it ,the staff really hustles! PLUS – please NOTE Purse hooks at the table! My wife was elated!

Excellent food and the prices can’t be beat. Plus, the view is great. The waitress in our section was overwhelmed by a large group but she never said anything to anyone else that we were waiting. After 20 minutes one of our group went to bar to get service. The waitress we had after that was wonderful! We all said we would go back again.

Probably the best scalloped potatoes in the area and the pan fried haddock was perfect. Broccoli was excellent and perfectly seasoned . All at $14 for a 3 piece dinner. The other 3 in my group were also very pleased with their entrees. Great service and a nice location on the water with plenty of eagles and other birds flying past. Rustic but pleasant atmosphere with the owner stopping by to say hello as usual. Great value.

Everything was fine until we got the food. The chicken wings HAD FEATHERS ON THEM. Deep fried feathers. See the photos attached. At least 4 of the wings had feathers. The nachos also were ingredients mindlessly tossed together; the cheese wasn’t melted, the meat was a cut up hamburger with no seasoning. The chicken wings also came in a USED basket with taco meat and chips leftover from the last table. Our waiter (young man with mustache) forgot all of our ranch that we asked for at the beginning and also only brought 1 glass of water when we asked for water for the table. I’m not a Karen, I’m a 21 year old fellow server who can see how wrong this whole experience was.
