Cash only at this dive style bar. Fantastic beer prices and nice bartenders. They have the regulars on tap and tons of cans to buy. The food was decent. Nothing too crazy or memorable, but it hits the spot after a few drinks. We had the spaghetti and meatballs. It reminded me of my mom’s growing up. The kitchen is closed on Mondays. We’ve already been back a few times for some cheap beers, good company, and a fun time!

Stopped in to escape some bad weather and kill some time. Very warm and the bartender was awesome, helpful and friendly. Relaxed environment, no weird dive bar vibes here, but just the right amount of chill if you know what I mean. Stoked to see a cig machine, and holy cows the bathroom was so clean. If you need a break from the day, come on by.

I loved everything about Tom Fischer’s Tavern. The cheesesteak side by side against most of the places in Philly would probably not do very well. But, if you want a good old fashioned hole in the wall neighborhood, come as you are, friendly bar cheesesteak served by a sassy bartender named Molly, Tom Fischer’s Tavern is the place for you!!

Always a great visit with Kevin, Donna, Tom and the rest of the staff. Excellent draft beer . Food from Johnnies is always top notch. Had the roast pork with sharp provolone. If you closed your eyes you’d think you’re at Nick’s RB. Also the chicken cordon bleu got great reviews. Wings were outstanding as usual. Thanks!
