My family and I celebrated my husbands birthday and Mother’s Day at Tolucas. It was my first time because I’m allergic to shellfish and I’m weary of going anywhere they serve shellfish. The owner explained to me how the shellfish is cooked completely separate from the rest of the food which gave me piece of mind. The food was DELICIOUS! The service was IMPRESSIVE! And the drinks were phenomenal! Our family of 15 were served promptly and not one order was messed up! The live musician kept the vibe up. I highly recommend!

The spicy steak was very spicy and good. I also got chicken soup to have tomorrow. It’s a whole drumstick and a whole thigh just in some broth. What am I supposed to do with this? Why do I have to build my own soup? This is lazy, not traditional lazy. And now I have a $13 thing of soup that I’m not going to eat because it has bones in it. I got chicken soup… I didn’t know I was ordering a quarter of a chicken with some broth. Not only that, I don’t like dark meat and when there’s no bones I can’t tell. Yes, that’s a personal thing. But if there were no bones and it wasn’t on the bone still I wouldn’t be able to tell and I would be giving this five stars in buying from this restaurant again. As a “local guide” I have eaten here multiple times on multiple occasions. I love the multiple salsa choices, which they DO have spicy salsa *cough cough* the mango margarita is my go-to next to the cantarito. It doesn’t matter what you get to eat, it’s all sooooo delicious. There hasn’t been 1 instance where the food wasn’t amazing. I recommend to many and all to atleast try 🙂

From getting the order just right with Edwin to everything being ready on time and correct! All of our employees said the tacos were amazing and we will definitely order again! I used to love coming here but since the new owners the food is not as good. The prices are really high. I paid 35$ for a plate of rice beans and arracherra and an horchata. They have too much going on w the interior. There were 3 or 4 different tile types on the wall. Like they just slapped random things on the wall. They also got rid of a lot of booths. The vibe of the place isn’t as comfortable as it used to be. I won’t be visiting again. The salsa they give isn’t spicy at all. This place tried to hard to be modern and they made themselves look cheap.

It was good. Great tasting tacos. The margaritas were very flavorful. Good servers. Nice atmosphere and music makes It a good vibe. People like to come here.
