I walked in to do a carryout order, Because I noticed online it doesn’t give you the option to select fried rice or steamed rice on the hibachi dinners . So I decided I’d come in. I placed my order, paid, waited for my order. It comes out and it’s missing the salad. Which it says online that it comes with a salad. So I kindly ask them if I can get the salad, the girl seemed annoyed , then goes to the back and comes out with the salad and it has a hair in it when I get back to the hotel. And it’s definitely not my hair because my hair is not brown

used to love going to tokyo after church, not anymore

I love Tokyo and have always had a good experience. I go to Tokyo around lunch and the host asks me how many. I said 7, while only four of us were standing there. (Critical thinkers would say 3 are missing.) She says “follow me” and seats us at our grill. Then she proceeds to ask, in a very rude tone, “where is the rest of your party?” To which I reply, “they’re on the way.” And then again, with an annoyed and pissed off tone, “Do you know what they want to order?” Babe, I don’t even know what I want to order yet I sat down two seconds ago. THEN, “well next time, you need to have your whole party together.” OH I’m sorry, when did your job become mine? Because she never asked me if my party was ready, and there was very clearly only 4 out of 7 of us there. Accountability is lacking…

as someone who works in food and service, regardless of the case, i would never and have never blamed a customer for something.

food was AMAZING, great props to our chef.

I have lived here for 6 years and had never been here due to so many mixed reviews. I finally decided to give it a try and go for my birthday. Well, my experience was great! Took us a minute to be attended but food and service were great! I love that they use salt for the food not sugar! Overall, I had a good experience!

Waitress rubbed her lips and nose then unwrapped our straws and put them in our cup. We asked for a new one and she handed us a straw that was wet and unwrapped.

After touching money and cashing out people she continued to touch everybody else’s straw and put them into their cups without washing her hands. She then continued to cough without covering her mouth around the drink station and food

Waited 30 minutes for her to bring the food out as well as change out my Gyoza because I asked for pan fried but instead they gave me deep fried which she told me that they don’t offer that but on the menu it obviously said pan fried. Instead of going back and checking, she just walked away from the table.

The food was incredibly salty. We didn’t eat it. It just went to waste. The chicken tasted boiled, not like the regular hibachi as well as the side of chicken fried rice in Carlsbad.

They had teenagers wearing regular clothes. You couldn’t tell who the waitress was. In Carlsbad they wear aprons as well as a black shirt and black pants.

Advice to the establishment, I believe they should be wearing uniforms. Something that says they work here as well as communicating to the staff about an issue instead of walking away from the table awkwardly without offering a refund or to fix it.

Straws should not be unwrapped by the waiter then put into their glass. That is very unsanitary. Just give the straws to the people instead of unwrapping the straw.

People should be sent home that rub their noses and lips with their hands and then touch people’s straws after doing that for so often.

Communication is key and if you have staff that do not communicate very well as well as having another waiter poor thing was taking her food out for her while she stood around in the back doing nothing but walking around avoiding tables.

Also the biggest thing is staff should not be wearing their hair down. They should be wearing their hair up so hair does not get in the food.

The person had bright colored hair, red dye. She wore her hair down. Wore a blue shirt and baggy jeans.

I’m surprised the health department has not shut this place down. Honestly if I were the inspector I would shut it down due to unsanitary practices until Steph had further training. I usually don’t complain often. I usually wait it out.

Food very salty to the point that we had to leave our plates. Took one bite and didn’t eat anymore after that.

Service was unprofessional. Unsanitary and I would never recommend my server who we had last night.

I went on a Friday for lunch, and it was pretty empty. Still, the service was a bit slow. It is a bit dark inside, but overall near and clean. Our cook was really entertaining, and he gave a good portion of rice. I could use less soy sauce, but that did bring me the whole bottle of yum yum

I definitely enjoy coming here and eating at least once a week. The food here is at the top in Asian cuisine in El Dorado. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. You will be very happy you did.

We stopped in, after being in the area for a swim meat. Our waitress was pleasant and quick with our drinks and order. The place was clean. The busiest part of the restaurant was the hibachi grills, but we chose a regular table. We ordered a couple rolls and some tempura. Their miso soup is nothing to write home about, it was quite watered down. The vegetable tempura, some were still doughy or had uncooked batter consistency on a few. The rolls, were goodm but most at the table thought it was over sauced. For being land locked, this place will suffice for your sushi fix. If in the area I probably wouldn’t come back again.

Excellent, fresh, & tasty Vegan Options in Hobbs America!

You can’t go wrong with classic sushi, especially when looking for plant-based options! Japenese food is def one of my go-to food options!

I’ve never been to a sushi place that does not offer these rolls.

We had:
-Avocado roll
-Cucumber roll
-Vegetable roll
-Steamed rice
Would for sure get again!

Other vegan options:
-Vegetarian Delight (ask no egg)
-Veggie fried rice (ask no egg)

Grateful to find these tasty dishes!

Overall the food was exemplary and filling. However, main complain is the services. Rather poor and a lack of actual work ethic, not only that most of the staff is dismissive or blatantly ignore requests and often forgets orders. Worst overall was the lack of soap in the bathroom, likely doesn’t happen yet staff was uninterested in remeding the fault.

So first off the waitress was horrible, like honestly, she forgot my lemon, forgot my dumplings, spilled my drink on me, and wasn’t even trying to attempt any good service, however the food was amazing, I got the romantic roll it’s cute and pretty and pink and my bf got the hibachi steak, however I did not tip even tho I was FULLY prepared too it seemed as if I was already stereo typed as if I wouldn’t tip, I would have tipped the cook but couldn’t find him, the hibachi grills are kind of small but still an amazing show
