So if you plan to try it, I suggest not having it doordashed, just go in and eat. Still great food.
Alright, Logansport, let’s talk Tokyo Steakhouse. Stepping inside, I was immediately enveloped in an atmosphere that screamed “Asian decor,” complete with all the vibrant reds and golds you’d expect. What I didn’t expect was the subtle, yet persistent, hint of “tropical rainforest” that seemed to permeate the air. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a carefully curated hot yoga studio, leading me to believe the air conditioner was either on a permanent coffee break or simply a figment of my imagination.
But before the main event, let’s talk about the true star of the opening act: the lobster rangoon. Oh, the rangoon! These crispy, creamy pockets of pure joy were so good, they made me momentarily forget the bead of sweat trickling down my temple. Each one delivered a satisfying crunch, followed by a savory, rich filling that was nothing short of delightful. I’m pretty sure my plate was empty before I even realized I’d started eating them.
Now, onto the main courses, because despite the rising internal temperature, the food was doing its best to distract me. The fried rice was, as always, a masterpiece. Each grain was a tiny, flavorful hero, perfectly cooked and ready to embark on its delicious journey. It’s the kind of fried rice that makes you consider writing poetry.
And the sweet and sour chicken? It was good, really good, though it arrived with a certain extra lubrication. Each piece had a sheen that suggested it had just been polished with a very enthusiastic oil rag. But, in true delicious fashion, I powered through, happily sacrificing a few napkins to its glorious, sticky, slightly slick embrace.
So, despite feeling like I’d just completed a vigorous workout, I’d still give Tokyo Steakhouse a thumbs-up. The food and service are solid enough to keep it a contender in your Logansport dining rotation. Just remember don’t dress in layers, or perhaps bring a small, personal fan. Consider it a unique, immersive dining experience!
