Seating was a breeze; we were promptly accommodated at a comfortable table without any wait, allowing us to dive right into the experience. While the hibachi grill seating is reserved exclusively for dinner service—a thoughtful touch that preserves the interactive spectacle for evening diners—our lunch setup was perfectly suited for a relaxed meal. The food arrived in remarkably short order, yet it was evident that no corners were cut in preparation. Each dish was bursting with fresh flavors and expertly balanced seasonings, earning it high praise as truly outstanding.
Though the building itself carries a touch of vintage charm that might feel slightly dated to some, it adds a cozy, unpretentious ambiance that enhances rather than detracts from the overall appeal. In an era where modern aesthetics often overshadow substance, this subtle nod to tradition feels refreshingly authentic.
Overall, Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse delivers a seamless, high-quality dining option that’s ideal for a quick yet satisfying lunch. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking great food, swift service, and a welcoming atmosphere—I’ll certainly be returning soon!
Starting with the outside decor, it’s really quite fetching !!
A little Koi pond – with Koi – and a little bridge over the water. So very cute !!
We’ve been for lunch and got dinner.
Both are very good.
Service is always good and servers generally friendly.
Food is great ! I do love their fried rice ! They have a good sushi bar if that’s your thing.
I will get pictures next time !
The Chef name ‘Smoki’, or ‘Smogi’ had performed perfectly. Most importantly, his demeanor was VERY playful, very friendly, and he a nice cute giggle. I was so honored to eat what he prepared. I would highly recommend you ask for Smoki the chef.
Hannah, our waitress, was also very helpful and patient. We had so many questions and seemed a bit needy, but she helped the best way possible. Their signature/house dressing for the salad is REALLY good. I had to buy a bottle from them which was a nice size for $7. You do get your money’s worth becuase they make A LOT of food enough for two people to share one menu item.
We went all in with our orders: two sushi rolls each, an appetizer, and hibachi for everyone. It was an absolute feast! The portions were generous, and everything was beyond amazing—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. We had plenty to take home, but trust me, it was hard not to finish everything right then and there.
After our meal, we moved to the bar section, where we were greeted by the one and only Mr. 21! That’s how he introduces himself, and he did not disappoint. His selection of top-shelf scotch, brandy, and tequila was surprisingly extensive, and the pricing was more than fair. He made our experience even more memorable with his hospitality and knowledge of fine spirits.
If you’re looking for a place with phenomenal food, unbeatable service, and a fantastic bar, Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse is it. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
