I was pleasantly surprised on my visit. This time all the food was properly prepared and seasoned and our chef Q was great. I do wish the bean sprouts and cabbage came with carrots and green onion. I think it would help with the presentation and the flavor. It ain’t cheap, but it was definitely a huge improvement over my my last visit that was years ago that was to salty. I would come back and order the filet mignon and scallops. The drinks were good but a bit pricey.

Yes I give it a 5 star: I went for my birthday celebration and the waitress always came to check if I was doing good and provided amazing service. The chef gave a beautiful show and provided us with a delicious meal. And the birthday celebration by the staff as well and the design always spot on. Definitely going back

Brought my cousins here for their birthday and it was so much fun, the food is very flavorful and the portions are quite large! We did make reservations just in case, so we wouldn’t have to wait long, but it is not required. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I have been eating here for around 30 years. The food is pretty good but the prices are a bit high for the proteins and sides served. The quality of food options, cleanliness, and staff and service have declined over the years. The menu hasn’t changed at all outside of removing all sushi options. We used to eat here every month at least 1 or 2 times, but now only visit once or twice a year. There are just so many other fantastic local reasonably priced food options.

Went here with my girlfriend celebrating our 2 years, and I’ve been here before and always had a great experience, this last time was horrible. First of all there was a bone in my chicken, how that gets there I have no clue, probably due to bad prep work, otherwise food was great, but I’m not one to cause a scene so I didn’t say anything but what happens afterwards I probably should’ve, I realized after paying they charged me their 18% service fee for groups of 5 or more or holidays which is fair I think…but I was with just my girlfriend and it was March 5th, so I ended up giving them a 38-40% tip because I didn’t realize until afterwards. It was on me for not looking though.

I usually love going to hibachi steakhouses and generally have great experiences, so I decided to visit the Habashi Steakhouse in Federal Way since it’s close to home. The atmosphere was nice, and we didn’t have to wait long. I came with my two kids, and we were seated fairly quickly. Overall, the ambiance was enjoyable.
However, the experience started to go downhill with the service. The older woman who took our order seemed very rushed, even though it was only around 6:00 p.m. When we finally decided on our meals, she abruptly took the menus from me and my daughter. It felt a bit disrespectful, and while I considered saying something, I chose to let it go and focus on enjoying the evening. Looking back, that was my first red flag.
The food preparation was the biggest disappointment. The chef cooked everything out of order…vegetables were cooked first and plated, then the rice and noodles, and the meat was cooked much later. By the time the protein was ready and hot, the vegetables and rice were already cold. The lobster tail was not fresh and the smell was fishy and the meat tasted bitter. The lack of timing and flow really took away from the hibachi experience, which is supposed to be cohesive and enjoyable.
To make matters worse, when we received the bill, there was an added charge listed at the bottom related to a “large capacity” or group fee. There were only three of us, and no one explained this charge beforehand. The extra $50–$60 pushed our total to about $260 for three people, with one alcoholic drink and regular sodas which is completely unreasonable.
Overall, while the atmosphere was nice, the rushed service, poorly timed food preparation, and unexpected charges made this a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location.
*Update: I’ve contacted management via email regarding this matter and am currently awaiting a response. I’ll provide an update once I hear back.

Great food and service! Our party of 10 came in with reservations for 8:30pm. The restaurant was full in a good way. Our chef was amazing and kept our party laughing. We enjoyed the experience and will be back. I believe I ordered the #11 that came with soup, 2 shrimp, salad, fried rice, sherbet, chicken and steak.

We had our company Christmas party here and we all had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious! You can tell that their meat, veggies and seafood are fresh. The service was good. The server was always checking on us how we doing etc. and the cook was a good entertainer!! And of course the best part of it is the experience seeing the chef cooking your food in front of you. We’ll definitely comeback and highly recommend them for special occasions. Good for big or small group. Make sure to make your reservations ahead since they get really busy.

We drove over an hour to arrive early for our reservation, yet still waited nearly 45 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we were then rudely asked to move tables, despite having a large party of 9 adults plus a baby in a stroller.
Service was slow, and when drinks were finally taken, one was spilled on a guest. While accidents happen, the response lacked professionalism. The chef assigned to our table was disengaged and made little effort to interact, which stood out as other tables appeared to be having a much more positive and engaging experience.
The food was dry and poorly seasoned, especially disappointing given the price point. We also had to remind staff about included dessert and a birthday acknowledgment(never happened), which should not be the guest’s responsibility.
As we were leaving, there was a loud police presence in the parking lot, making it difficult and uncomfortable to exit.
