We made a reservation for 10 for our son’s birthday. We hadn’t been in years, but he loved going there when he was younger so we thought it would be fun. I knew something was wrong immediately after we sat down. I looked around the restaurant and all of the patrons at the other tables had their winter coats on. The restaurant was absolutely freezing! Strange but what could we do with a party of 10 last minute. I usually run hot and even I was cold.
The chefs performance was entertaining/fun and good for some laughs. Our server was attentive but a bit on the rough side. Overall fun experience and the food is good but not great. My recommendation would be go in the warmer months. Two small heat pumps to heat an entire restaurant are not remotely adequate!

Food was good and chef was great. We tipped him and then tipped again on bill. We left well over 20%. The waitress chased us and confronted us in front of customers claiming they split tips and we didn’t leave enough. We spent over $150 and to be humiliated was so unprofessional. We explained to her we tipped twice and finally getting it there was no apology. Beware they add their own tips on a credit cards!

Ordered some sushi and a yaki soba during happy hour. Sushi was half price which was great. It was put together well rice cooked properly and seasoned. Fish seemed as fresh as it could’ve been. NOW…..the yaki soba…..lol omg. This was NOT soba noodles or flavored correctly. It was bland and tasteless and the noodles given were completely overcooked. Vegetables were fresh that’s the only good thing I can say.
As far as the service the host was not very friendly and took and unusually long time to seat me. Not only that waitress didn’t seem like she even wanted to be there. Was forced to give the 18% tip so I ended up scrounging for change at the bottom of my purse because I only bought enough for what I had in cash plus the usual normal 15%. (Did the math before ordering). It should also be MY choice what I give as a tip. Also 18% is not standard.

I was a party of 4 on New years Eve 2025 for a 7pm reservation. We were brought to our table (hibachi) immediately. We were greeted by a nice waitress and she took our drink order. Soon after things declined from there and let me start by saying this is about the heat. There was absolutely NO HEAT at all in the restaurant. Our chef was delightful, but the no heat put a huge damper on our reservation. You can see that all the patrons in the restaurant were cold. I literally had to wear a very heavy winter coat while consuming my dinner. In all honesty NO HEAT in an establishment serving food on a cold night is a health hazard. We all should have been notified of the heat issue before we were brought to our table. I certainly would have made other last minute arrangements. There was also NO HOT water in the restaurant room that actually needs to be renovated as it was also not up to par.

1st off I wanna say that the Hibachi chef was Amazing (5 stars) (READ til the end tho) he’s the older male who wears the cowboy hat. The salad was decent. The soup was disgusting it’s taste like hot water and Mushrooms. Which is sad cause I love the soup from most Hibachi spots. Steak great, shrimp great. Confused about the rice tho I guess fried rice is an extra fee. But the rice is good also. Also the vegetables was great. Had to ask for yum yum sauce they don’t provide it at the table. But they do have it. BUT WE NOW COME TO THE BAD EXPERIENCE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT! We were in a party of four we asked for split checks, but we were going to add The tip all on one check. We tipped the hibachi guy like we always do in cash. So my friend wrote a tip amount down on the bill by accident. THEN said that’s fine She can have it I already wrote it even though we were going to pay cash in the tip, so the waitress came over to grab the first bill. Our friend that was going to put the tip was in the bathroom still. So not too was presented yet. As soon as the waitress seen that the tip was not what she was expecting, she came over, screaming demanding for my friend to change the tip because she has to share it with the hibachi cook She grabbed my friend’s hand and made her scratch out the old tip that she put on there and put a new one which was a larger amount. Never in my life have I ever seen something like this where the waitress comes over and is screaming about a larger tip. We were going to tip her. Wenson’t understand why she didn’t wait for all of us to pay our bill together. Since we were all
Together. Unfortunately, we all gave her a small tip after that because that was embarrassing and I cannot believe that that lady did that. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to tip high.

BEWARE- gratuity added regardless of party size!!… My husband and myself have been going here for years. Last night we were very dissatisfied with our waitress. Let me say that we are always very happy with the food. But what we noticed last night when our bill was brought to us was that they already added an 18% gratuity for a party of two. No this is not something I have ever heard of unless it was a party of 5–6 or more. And it is always stated , so if this is a new rule there I felt like they were trying to pull a fast one. My husband and myself have always been very well tippers. Now after our order was messed up, which we were OK with, but he had to pick the food out of his rice that he did not want in there. When the time came for our takeout containers, they were not brought to us which he then had to get up and go get himself at the little waitress station. But even with all of that said we still would’ve tipped appropriately, but then to see it, added on our bill And then when asked about it said “ oh no this is something we have always done.” I procedure to tell her we have been coming here for almost 10 years and no this is not an old practice for this restaurant. The fastest that she moved was when she disappeared for one second and returned magically with the proper receipt like it was already printed out and waiting.
If this is a new practice at Tokyo of already adding a gratuity to the bill, then you need to state that somewhere on the menu or at the counter when you first walk in and are waiting to be seated. You do not just add that onto a check because there are a lot of people who aren’t gonna look at that and then they’re going to tip on top of that.

It was a pleasant stop before shopping. Went in for Hibachi. We all got the steak with shrimp sampler. For us, the soup and salad is a must so we go with the dinner portion. She gets sushi to split with the Boy, so idk but… I get gyoza pan fried, Szechuan sauce.. I like saying that… Spelling it not so much… Great mango smoothie!! Blue Hawaiian was delish.
I wasn’t too happy about paying $4 extra per plate for “Coca Cola” rice instead of white rice. Kinda nuts… But it was good food, fast service, very nice staff.

The atmosphere is lively and fun. I’ve only ever ordered hibachi. The hibachi steak and shrimp are flavorful. I always get noodles which I enjoy and the vegetables are delicious. The hibachi chefs are always friendly and accommodating. I didn’t realize that the tip on the bill is for the waitress and not the hibachi chef – so keep that in mind.

The food was good it always is but the place itself is run down! They aren’t fixing anything, the rugs are dirty and stained, they need to be replaced, the walls need to be painted and the glass around the booths are chipped. The fountain is empty and the water in the bathroom is ice cold, if that’s not enough the heats not on.

I’ve been here twice with my boyfriend. Both times we had a lot of fun experiencing the immersive Hibachi.
The only true criticism I have is that the people that are seated with you at the station can really make or break your overall experience as far as atmosphere goes.
Service is overall fair and the hibachi chef’s are always entertaining. Experience can vary greatly on the Chef too.
The portions are large and I always have some to take home. I always get some kind of surf and turf mix.
Parking is available onsite. Location is very close to the mall so provides a convenient indoor walking spot after for the cold months.
