They are very wonderful people. The kindest that make you joyful and happy. We love them they are considered great friends to us. We feel like we are among family. This place is the Saki Bomb. Awesome place best Japanese Restaurant in North Carolina. We have a great time always. Prices are extremely reasonable.

I always sit at the bar on fridays and let me tell you. It’s always a great time. The staff is so nice and the food tastes amazing. This the the only thing that I look forward to do on Fridays. Side of hibachi chicken is amazing, specially with the white sauce and the sake. EC pirates and the sexy girl dishes is also pretty good , I would highly recommend it. Won’t disappoint

I am sincerely baffled as to how this place has such good ratings. My entire Bento box was nearly inedible. I got an order to go and it took less than 3 minutes to get back to my hotel room. The salmon was so over cooked I couldn’t even break a piece off using my chopsticks. I got it teriyaki style and the veggies underneath were so watery and tasteless. No seasoning whatsoever. The sushi was turning colors already. They really need to find a way to separate the hot and cold foods. The spicy tuna roll had absolutely nothing spicy on it at all and it did not taste fresh at all. The gyoza had no flavor and neither did the fried rice until I loaded it up with soy sauce. The only thing that had any flavor was the miso soup but then there was hardly anything in it. I found one tiny piece seaweed and VERY small pieces of tofu that I really had to hunt down. So disappointing because the people were nice.

This is my go to place for Japanese cuisine. Yes, they do have good day and bad day with the quality of the ingredients but that’s with every japanese places in Greenville. I love coming here for their appetizers that other restaurants don’t offer like gyoza and takoyaki etc. Their sushi and sashimi are good too, similar to other places so each individual’s palette will be a factor saying it’s good or not but overall I would recommend this place.

Whatever you do, don’t get the seafood boil! I paid $47 dollars for 1lb Shrimp, 1lb of mussels, and 1 lb of crawfish and it was NASTY! I ordered online and the total was $43.00. I received a call from them saying they had to charge me another $4.00! I was like what? So I go pick up the food and it smelted like dirty dish water. I never ate their food and I will NEVER go back. The shrimp was so overcooked I could barely pull them. The mussels were so overcooked until they shivered up. This is so ridiculous for this price. I threw the whole bag away.

We absolutely loved the sushi at Tokyo! We tried the mini mountain, dragon, volcano, and beef tartar rolls. We also enjoyed the gyoza and treasure island appetizers. Definitely going back again! The booths are a bit outdated and need cleaning though.

Tokyo is our go-to place for sushi, and I especially like the dinner bento boxes. The food has stayed at the top of our favorites for years, though the service can be hit or miss. I’ve visited for lunch and dinner. I’ve taken colleagues and family, we’ve had dates and special occasions here. They have also do a great job with takeout.

There is no way this place is the best in town or better than Japanese restaurant in Raleigh. They don’t know what they are talking about. Yea, staff is attentive but food is terrible. Unless I walk into a bad/slow day or something.
The fish, egg, are old. You can taste it. Maybe salmon they sell a lot so the inventory is fresher.
You can see it from the color too, looks like tuna and yellow tail been in the freezer for weeks. It was discolor, and have no taste. Egg is dry, that means it been in the fridge for way too long.
I do like how the restaurant looks and the staff are nice but food needs a lot of improvement. If ingredient keep older than that someone probably will get sick
