Easily my favorite Japanese restaurant in Greenville. Great vibe, almost never a wait for eating in, and very reasonable prices and portions. The staff are friendly.

This is my go to place for Japanese cuisine. Yes, they do have good day and bad day with the quality of the ingredients but that’s with every japanese places in Greenville. I love coming here for their appetizers that other restaurants don’t offer like gyoza and takoyaki etc. Their sushi and sashimi are good too, similar to other places so each individual’s palette will be a factor saying it’s good or not but overall I would recommend this place.

My lunch experience was awesome! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My bento box tasted super fresh and delicious. They have the tatami seating as well and a great vibe feels like home. Would visit again and recommend to everyone in town come to try the food and will leave with a smile

Arrived at 6:45 for dinner. Didn’t recieve food until 8:15. The sushi was ok but the hibachi was cold. Like refrigerated cold. Asked to have hibachi removed from ticket and was told 10% was all they could do. 2 orders of hibachi doesn’t equate to $9.31. Had a party of 5 on my ticket. The only good part of this place is the server. Save your time and eat elsewhere.

For adults, it’s great. Calm, cozy atmosphere and excellent food. Don’t bring a kid. They won’t find much they like and it’s not an atmosphere you’ll want to spoil with the noise kids make. Make it a date night.

Japan Tokyo is ALWAYS delicious!! The food is hot and tasty. They have a variety of dishes to order. Today I ordered Hibachi chicken & shrimp, and my friend ordered edamame, Tuna Tarte sushi and Tempura Shrimp. I also love their Crab Salad, Avocado Salad and Crab Sushi. Also, the staff is attentive and sooo nice. We LOVE this place!! Highly recommend. ❤
