A friend from work recommended that I try this place and I’m so glad we did. The food was great and the staff were all so nice. My little great-niece absolutely loved the steak bento box. She usually only nibbles at her food and is such a super picky eater, but she ate all of her food here! My husband and I both loved the sushi, too. I had no idea that we had a place like this here in Winchester. We all agreed that it was definitely our new favorite place to eat here in town. We’re happy to have found somewhere we can get delicious fresh sushi without driving to Lexington.

Been coming here since 2013 and I absolutely have loved this place. Every year I come here about 4-5 times a year as I live 40 min away. I have constantly bragged about this place being underrated and how good it is to my friends and family, but they all have had bad experiences. Tonight really took the cake. I ordered the Tokyo Special during my father’s 60 birthday. I took my two kids one being a baby the other being 8 years old. It was me and three other adults along with my two kids. Food came out and was really skimpy and was the worst portions I ever had. Food was barely warm. Not a big deal as they always have corrected the issues anytime I had a complaint (complaints very rare). I confronted our waitress about it and gave them a chance to make it right. All the waitress said its portioned out and we could add extra for a price. We declined, we just wanted what was normally served and continued to eat and let the issue go. Well the check comes out and we get smacked with a $20 gratuity charge for 6 people. Keep in mind we had 4 adults a baby and an 8 year old. They didn’t even eat but a little bit of rice and noodles off our plates. We confronted our waitress about the $20 gratuity bill that got added on cause of our baby and 8 year old. She was like rules are rules and was smart about it. Once again I shrugged it off and the more I thought about it, I was like nah I got to ask. Our waitress came back I asked to speak to a manager, manager came to the table. I was asking about the gratuity charge before the manager could respond the waitress in the distance was pointing at the sign that said gratuity is added on for party’s of 6. I said since when is gratuity is added on for a baby and child that didn’t order a meal. The manager said 3 years ago they added it. We never been hit with it any other time. We where there about an hour or less total and waitress probably came to the table about 5 times. We didn’t make her run any other than normal. Once I continued to talk about the gratuity charge for a baby and a kid the manager didn’t have anything to say as she was watching our waitress continue to smartoff in the distance and walked outside. Me being me, we payed the bill and will not ever be back again at all. Definitely not a Kid friendly place, I am a food buff, run my own food truck and I take care of people especially kids (I don’t charge for 12 and under for catering). But this tonight was absolutely unacceptable. I have the upmost respect for my business and if mess something up I fix it and make it right. For the price and best service and food overall I would recommend Koto Richmond KY. Hands down best Hibachi around. They absolutely love kids there! Better yet I have been to nunerous restaurants in Lexington especially BHG restaurants and never been hit for gratuity for kids.

This is a hidden gem!!! I happened to find it on my way back from Lexington and was amazed at how delicious it was! Excellent sized portions and a quiet and cozy atmosphere. One of my fav places!

The food is very good and sushi, what we almost always go for, is tasty and priced well. I wouldn’t put their sushi in the top tier level, but it isn’t far below. The spicy/crunchy tuna or salmon is a GREAT deal at that price. Their “volcano” roll, which is quickly fried, is unique and worth the few extra bucks.

Great place for a date night! Delicious sushi without having to go all the way to Lexington. My husband and I love stopping by here. It’s always busy but has speedy service. I’ve never had a bad item from here! The staff are all kind as well. Great place!

Got take out here but after seeing the dining room thinking I should have stayed. Our go to place for sushi. Have always been happy with the food and the service. Depending on what you get can be a little pricey but worth it.
