Kirby location: They BURNT my rice 🙁 Usually the rice is great. But this time I literally smelled burnt food when I walked in and my rice tasted like the bottom of the skillet and had black specks on it. If I wasn’t starving, I woulda took it back in for a remake…very disappointed. Im a regular customer. I probably go once or twice a month now. I gave em 4 stars because the food is usually on point. I feel like they keep pans of premade rice and meat then heat it up soon as they get an order. I like Sake Vs Tekila much better. I will give them another try tho.

Great customer service over the phone and in person. However, the food was disgusting. I ordered steak lo mein with thin noodles. There were too many noodles, too many huge onions, too much sesame oil was used, the broccoli was discolored (not from seasoning or being cooked), and the steak tasted like throwaway scraps. This location and the one on Park (I had chicken katsu there) were disappointing.

Just 4 stars because they have gone up 1$ on every item. But quality is still good. I love the sushi and miso soup they have. Also the fried rice is so good an tasty. You can call ahead and place your order, service is great. I love this location, the park ave and the newly open on poplar.

Placed an order for chicken fried rice with extra veggies and extra egg along with hibachi chicken noodles w/no veggies. My order came to $32.37. No receipt received so I was likely overcharged. Arrived home only to find that there was no extra egg, in fact there was no egg in my order just chunky veggies. I called back to the restaurant to inquire how much extra was charged for the extra egg…she said let me look but I didn’t receive an answer before she started speaking whatever language to the cook; they were loudly speaking back and forth as if who am I to question what I paid for. This rude woman comes back on phone to tells me that extra egg was added. I explained there is no egg found; no evidence of one egg. Now I order from TG-Kirby often and know when extra egg is added bc you will see it. This woman tells me it is small pieces. What! Don’t you just love when people insult your intelligence? Before I can finish my statement, this unkind person hangs up the phone on me. For the sake of not being banned. This establishment will no longer receive my money if you think i will accept your rude customer service, short my order AND take my money. This woman’s attitude is bad for business and I have dealt with her for the last time. Miss Me and my $$.

This is my 3rd time coming here and I probably won’t be returning solely based on principles! The first 2 times were amazing, a slim guy and an older woman took my order. This last time however, a younger, slim Korean woman with a ponytail took my order. When I got there she advised my total was $20 even, so after I paid I asked her for my receipt. My receipt showed 19.92. When I pointed it out, she gets an attitude and says you want your penny back? Mam, first of all, it’s 8 pennies and at the end of the day, my money is my money. I ordered the House Hibachi with garlic butter. I wonder how many other people this woman over charges!? Like I said, the food is good, just make sure you check your receipt! I have attached pictures as well.

I ordered three orders of fried rice and one happened to have a strain of hair inside (the other two were fine) so I called back to the location on Kirby and was told to bring it in. I did so and instantly two workers laughed and said they’re hair isn’t that “thin” nor was anyone’s hair “cut” like that. I explained that it definitely wasn’t mine due to finding it in the middle of my food and that I’m a black girl with an entire different hair texture than the hair found. I asked for a refund for that part my order and the only option they gave me was to get it remade with the worst attitude ever. They kept stating rudely that it’s not their hair and I was never given a refund and I definitely didn’t eat the “fresh” order that was given to me within seconds. The customer service was terrible for the first time and that’s definitely my last time ordering food from them for simply not having the decency to take accountability for their own mishap.
