Loved this place for a long time. Never had an issue until now. They served me a cyst instead of steak meat. Had it doordashed to my house and it smelled weird when I opened the container. Didn’t think anything of it until I got this horrid, pasty feeling in my mouth. The meat was slimy and smelled like spoiled milk. I will probably avoid this place for a while after what I just experienced.

Hibachi chicken/shrimp with some broccoli and onions/peppers… meal was prepared quickly and was tasty… left some evidence on my white shirt (never fails these days that some sauce or food will miss my mouth, esp when its good)

This place never disappoints. Tasty food, prepared in open, visible kitchen. Attentive staff. Atmosphere is fast food variety. Nice portions and acceptable cost. Come here several times per year, and will be back. Yummy, high sodium meals, unlimited soda and yum yum sauce. Sushi just ok.

Ordered the Scallop Habachi Bowl…Not Impressed. Dish was Scallop, Rice, soy sauce and a few pieces of broccoli…Thats it. No other ingredients. About $10 Rice was bland at best. Only good thing was the were a lot of scallops considering and they were good sadly IT shouldn’t have been Scallop and flavorless Rice at a habachi.
I ordered the 4-3-2 appetizer (4 wings 3 dumpling and 2 spring rolls…. OVERCOOKED AND HARD AS A ROCK! PLated on Styrofoam containers when It was so HOT that it melted and charred theStyrofoam!!! Eating melted Styrofoam with your takeout?
Additionally, long wait even just to order… I wanted to like this place….but can’t recommend.

My wife and I shared a chicken chow mein and two spring rolls at Tokyo Express. We had just arrived at the beach unpacked , and set up our trailer at Ocean Lakes Family Campground, and were extremely tired and needed some food . The lady working at Tokyo Express was so helpful ,and kind to split the meal on two plates brought it to our table ,and returned with forks and napkins !
Thank you for such an act of kindness and service!

I understand there’s language barriers, but I hardly could understand the gentleman when placing my order. I also felt rushed.
But, the food is excellent.

The food was fine, but nothing great. The Diet Pepsi tasted awful. I probably won’t be back for a long time.

I called to place a take out order for sushi and had a question about one of the rolls. The guy that answered the phone obviously did not speak/understand English very well, so I kindly tried to ask in a variety of ways. Instead of answering my question, he only tried to confirm that I wanted to order that roll (well, not yet, I have a question about it first). He eventually just said “No” and hung up on me. I went there to go inside and explain what happened, re-ask my question, and see if there was a more detailed menu available. It was hot inside (no AC) and the sanitation grade was 92. So when I didn’t have any better luck in person than I’d just had on the phone, I decided that was my sign to go eat next door instead. Unfortunately, Tokyo Express didn’t seem concerned at all about providing good customer service or losing a customer.

Nice place, the jumbo plate was good I wish it had more seasonings and flavor but for “express” food it was pretty good. Now the sushi is thick on the rice, and heavy on the cream cheese and veggies with a little bit of fish. Don’t get the sushi unless you only eat California rolls. And it doesn’t matter to me but it is kind of funny that every single person working “looks and acts” Hispanic if I could rename this place it would be “Pablo’s hibachi” but it was more pricey than I expected.
