Overall enjoyed the restaurant! My only complaints were the bao buns were dry, lacking in sauce and to only having pickled things on top caused the bun to taste dry! My partner said the crab roll didn’t taste much different than any other. The meals weren’t bad overall but we expected a bit better for flavor! We also noted they say it’s family style dining but do not serve family style portions. When I hear family style I think large enough portion for multiple people but it really was a normal sized meal for one. A large let down as the cost doesn’t match the portion. The drinks were not bad at all! Reasonably priced and love the Asian twist to them! The atmosphere itself was nice and intimate and the staff were kind!

This place has a very limited menu. We did not have a reservation so we had to sit outside. I had asked the hostess if there were any open spots at the bar, she said there weren’t so we ended up sitting outside. We ordered the blistered green beans which were amazing, had tons of flavor from the sauce it was cooked in and the fried onions. They also do NOT have hot sake here, only cold so just know that before you go. We also ordered the salmon with a side of rice. Tell me why the salmon on the menu said “grilled” but it was half cooked. I eat sushi frequently so it was not that big of a deal, but if you don’t eat raw fish and order grilled salmon, expect it to be half cooked. The basil sauce was also a little too salty and portion sizes were small. The food came out pretty fast and the server was attentive. I then ordered a hot green tea which came out luke warm. This would’ve been ok if we were sitting inside instead of outside. On our way out of the restaurant, I noticed there were SEVERAL spots by the bar and even their regular dining area. The high end cost for this experience was not worth it.

The kaarage chicken was delicious and crunchy, and the salad paired with it was light and filled with ginger flavor! I ordered a cup of plum sake which was sweet and delicious but I would order a carafe next time because the cup was very small.
Solo-diner approved for lunch time.

We went here because we saw it being recommended like many. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice for date night or just having an intimidate dinner with someone or a group of friends. I really liked the seating area. The hostess and waiter were really kind of gave great suggestions. Cory was our waiter and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. I liked the food. The bao buns could’ve used a sauce to go with it. They just seemed a little dry but they were good regardless. The salad was really interesting and different. I was excited about the macaroni and cheese. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture because it’s very chewy the sauce was good. It was worth trying. The green beans were delicious. Definitely a must. The steak was good but that day they had a new cut and the steak was a little tough though. Cory was very apologetic about it. The flavor of it was good though. I would come back to try other dishes.

this restaurant is so pretty and the food was so good as well everything we ordered came basically at the same time which we loved (so we could take pics of everything). We ordered the spam musubi, the chicken dumplings, the pork belly udon, and the brisket egg rolls. LOVED everything. Very flavorful and unique. Personal fav was the dumplings. Super aesthetic place/food and Kevin our server was really kind as well. Will def be back !

My husband made reservations for my birthday during lunch. The place is small but has a nice layout, very nicely decorated and clean. It was way too cold when we walked in for lunch. The white napkin left so much lint on my black pants after lifting it off my lap. I ordered the pork belly and it was way too chewy and the rice was undercooked so it was hard and dry. The thinly sliced pickled veggies were good and the sauce was good. My husband’s burger was too salty and the fries were okay. The brisket egg rolls were a bit chewy too but not too bad in flavor. The blistered green beans were the only part of our meal which we enjoyed. Service was good but nothing special. Overall we left disappointed for the price we paid and we have no desire to return to this restaurant.

I was really craving Asian food. There aren’t many options near the Riverwalk. However, I stumbled upon this joint right off the Riverwalk. I am a sucker for Asian fusion food! I went during Happy Hour. The only thing I ordered from the Happy Hour menu was the chicken karaage. It was delicious! The portion is very generous. Each piece of chicken is pretty big. Perfectly fried, but slightly lacking seasoning/flavor on its own, so the kewpie dipping sauce was a great touch. My favorite dish here is the shredded vegetable salad. The vinaigrette they use on it was FANTASTIC! Seriously, it was so much better than what I expected, but everything I had hoped for. Very similar to Vietnamese goi salad. The shrimps are a nice add on at an additional cost. The green beans were yum and healthy. The Krab roll with the crab ponzu butter was really good, especially that crab ponzu butter. I’ve never tasted anything like it! I started dipping all my food in that butter. The only thing that I didn’t really like were the chicken dumplings. The dumpling paper is way too thick for such a small amount of meat in each of them. Overall, I enjoyed the food. My server was kind. The food came out all nice, hot and fresh. The vibe of this restaurant is modern/chic. The booth chairs were not that comfy; I sunk quite deep into them which made the table a bit too high at that point.

This was definitely a different type of experience. You have to open your pallet in order to enjoy what is being presented hands down. Probably some of the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. It’s an interesting take on how as soon as the dishes are made they brought out they don’t sit there so that you can experience the flavor of them being created.
