I LOVE THIS PLACE. I went to a similar restaurant in Denham I think. The food was NOT good and the portions were small as well. I’d been really trying to get back here for a visit. Living in Louisiana I get tired of the same foods. I was happy that the food quality, flavor, AND portions were the same as my past experiences. Kudos to this establishment staying consistent. So many restaurants are cheating the public by cutting back on the portions and charging the same or more. 10/10.

The goodness okay. The filet was great. The veggies were salty with too much sauce. There wasn’t any traffic in there during lunch hour. The staff were friendly and attentive

Love Tokyo Cafe, hibachi is cool, I can’t catch rice with my mouth to save my life. My niece was terrified of the fire on her first visit lol. The food is good and the chef is entertaining. The sushi is also good.

Best sushi and hibachi in town! Came in with family and everyone had so much fun, food are amazing! Will visit again! If you have not been here, do consider as most weekends require reservations!

I’m giving this place 2 stars because the food was very good but the atmosphere and my waitress was unsettling at best. When my waitress first approached me she said, “are you looking at all of our bad reviews?” I had no idea why she asked, I was literally just sending a quick text. The couple sitting behind me were giggling very loudly and were clearly on something. Then when I was finished eating the waitress said, “oh I wasn’t expecting you to eat so much!” Don’t think I’ll be back…

Disappointing Hibachi Experience
I used to love eating at Tokyo Cafe, but my recent visit after church proved to be a disappointing and costly experience. For an $80 meal, the quality was surprisingly poor, and it’s clear things have changed.
I ordered the hibachi steak and scallops with fried rice, while my wife had the steak and shrimp with fried rice. The most significant issue was the steak; it smelled and tasted off, to the point that my wife could not eat it. The side dishes were equally uninspired. The noodles were bland, comparable to plain spaghetti, and the vegetables were just okay.
For the price, we expected a much higher quality of food. It’s a shame to see a place I once enjoyed deliver such a subpar meal. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning.

Tokyo Cafe is my favorite sushi restaurant. Their sushi is fresh and the best price. I often pick up a salmon and avocado roll which is larger than other restaurants and my total is $5.95. They know me by name and have had the same owners working for over 15 years.

A very typical non-Japanese operated Japanese restaurant! The foods portion is big, foods are quite tasty! The sushi rolls and takoyaki are delicious. However, the tempura is a bit overcooked! The waitress who served us is super friendly and very attentive!
