Went in alone had never been here so I like to try a few different items. I ordered hot sake tempera sweet potatoes, spicy crab appetizer, fried rice and lion king roll. Everything Was good except the lion king roll the texture was weird and the taste was off but Everything else was pretty good. Was dumbfounded that they wanted to charge me 1.00$ for Sriracha hot sauce had never been to any Asian establishment where they charge. Service wasn’t too friendly they kept looking at me talking in there language felt very uncomfortable. Atmosphere was clean.

Tokyo was an amazing experience! Before I even get to the food, let me say the service was TOP NOTCH. I imagine this is the kind of service that existed in the 50s-60s in the USA. They were extremely attentive and always came by to fill our waters. Must have came by at least 10 times just for water alone. I have never seen service like this in my life and I’ve been to many restaurants. They always took our plates when we were finished and asked what else we would like. For reference, we got the all you can eat option. I highly recommend the “Crazy Yummy Roll.” Also found out there is a location in Sioux Falls, so will have to try it sometime! Thanks, Tokyo!

I love sushi so having an opportunity to try some South Dakota style was on the agenda for the day. The general atmosphere is welcoming although it seemed unusual that the art on the wall was pictures of sushi and rolls, and some that were not on the menu. Our order was taken and our food came out in piece by piece over several minutes. This would have been ok if they were busy, but there was only one other table at that time. The sushi was delicious and the other food items were well prepared. Although it was not busy when we visited we felt pressured to leave with requests to remove plates before we were done. Last oddity was that the suggested tips were Inflated. 20% suggestion was actually around 22%. Would possibly return knowing these quirks exist.

They made such delicious sushi! I had one of the sushi dinner platters, and my husband had shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo-mein. I couldn’t believe the amount of sushi I got for a great price! A great place to go on a date or with friends. The staff is so friendly and attentive; I would say the best service ever! Atmosphere is quiet and quaint. Love it here!

My second time there the waitress was knowledgeable about the gluten and other ingredients in the dishes. The disappointment this time is that they have gluten in their wasabi. Again, I was not given a gluten free alternative to the wasabi. I really missed the wasabi on my sashimi. At least they had gluten free soy sauce.
First review: Ignorant to gluten/grain free diets. The waitress blamed the misunderstanding on me since she didn’t know what was in the sauce on the salad. I asked for gluten free. She said there’s sauce and salad in the salad. I could tell the sauce wasn’t grain free. When I asked about it the waitress said that she said there was sauce. She took the salad and returned it with plain lettuce!?

Fantastic restaurant. Picked out the restaurant based on reviews while driving across the country, and boy did it not disappoint. We ordered hibachi steak and chicken takeout. Portions were great size, thoughtfully packaged for takeout, and tasted amazing. The restaurant staff were extremely courteous and friendly.
Only sad part is there isn’t one of these restaurants where we are from. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely visit again.

Usually order by phone and enjoy a buy 2 get one free deal at home but this time we ate inside. Food did not disappoint. The Godzilla Roll is a must-have! I’ve had sushi all across the country, and this place is pretty good, considering it’s in Mitchell South Dakota
