Had the worst experience due to poor seating. Made reservation 2 weeks prior. Requested booth but didn’t get. Lol – that was the least of the problem. They seated us near the kitchen Enterance. Through out the night we must have gotten bumped every 1 seconds. Requested – Patricio – guy holding the iPad for quick seating turn around. He was so busy and just didn’t care. Pointed out atleast 3 different times where he could switch us. He kept saying “sorry I already have someone walking in right now”

At one point the waiter carried chair on top of their head and stood next to us. Lol I asked you need a hand – they laughed. Definitely not a sign of fine dining. No sorries…just bumps…and walk away.

Food – average. (Nothing has changed in 20yrs)
Service – average
Noise – High
Atmosphere – too crowded to even appreciate.

Been to Toku for over 20 years … just not what it use to be. Running like McDonnald now.

Don’t care about their customer. New front staff all the time…thank goodness to the American shops that keep this place alive.

My family and I came here for lunch, drawn in by the lively atmosphere and the abundance of outdoor seating. The service was attentive and polished, consistent with what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the setting. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant and dealt with an ongoing issue of fruit flies and other insects, which made the meal less enjoyable.
As for the food, it was underwhelming given the premium price point. I ordered the Wagyu steak (medium), which was precut and served with neatly stacked fries. Presentation aside, it was one of the most mediocre steaks I’ve had—when I can prepare a better one at home, that’s not a good sign. The sushi rolls were average, the crispy rice was just okay, and the tuna pizza, while tasty, lacked that “wow” factor. The lunch prix fixe menu was serviceable but forgettable; the Pad Thai noodles, in particular, were disappointing, especially considering I’ve had far better versions at a fraction of the cost in Flushing.
Overall, while the service and ambiance were positives, the food quality and value simply weren’t there. For the price, I expected a much more memorable experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Sorry to say the food does not cut it here. Take a look at the photo can you find the king crab? The king crab was very much underdeveloped. Prices are high but that’s the trade-off for the avant-garde atmosphere.

Went for a late night dinner with another couple on a Saturday, and I couldn’t belie how packed out the place was at 10pm. It def has more of a lounge vibe after hours. I’ve been here years ago for normal dinner time and it was much calmer.

The food was delicious as usual. Everything was amazing despite the kitchen being close to closing time. Everything was fresh and delivered on taste.
Service from our waiter was fine but not as attentive due to the place being so busy. Overall, would return because the place is beautiful and the food is great! I highly recommend.

What an overrated place this is. Lets start by the hostess. Black guy Infront requested that I take my hat off, which I had on because it was 20 degrees outside, but its your policy so I have no problem unless I am being singled out. At the Bar there was a person sitting with their hat on. I pointed that person out to him and he in my face stated No No they don’t have a hat on. Then we got seated in a pitch black corner with no light. Flash lights on to see menu.
On to the food, we had the Rock shrimp good, Shrimp Dumplings Terrible, Miso Black Cod taste like a plate of butter, the sushi Shrimp tempura, King Crab, Spicey tuna hand roll. All mediocre.
On to the Pork Fried rice probably the worst rice we have ever tasted, wait NO TASTE bland as hell, all egg.
Our waiter was fantastic, his service was 1st class.
Best of the night were the drinks Passion Margarita, Chili Passion Martini great.
For the food you are better off going to your local Asian corner spot and saving yourself a whole lot of money

Recently had dinner at Toku with a party of nine, and I have to say—this place did not live up to the hype. Multiple people in our group, especially locals, swore this spot was amazing, maybe because it’s nestled among the high-end shops at Americana Manhasset. But let’s be real: name-dropping luxury retail doesn’t make the food any better.

The pricing here is off the charts for what you get—subpar dishes that wouldn’t stand out at a much more modestly priced restaurant. For the money spent, we expected something truly special, not just expensive plating.

To make things worse, the noise level on a packed Saturday night made it nearly impossible to hold a conversation without yelling across the table. The only saving grace? The service. Our server was attentive and professional, but unfortunately, great service couldn’t rescue a disappointing dining experience.

All flash, no flavor.

Toku has been my go to spot for lunch when I meet up with friends. Ambience and service are amazing.
My daughter had her Sweet 16 birthday party here so I’ve been coming to Toku over a decade.
Food has been consistently good.
I like the lunch bento which changes daily.
The staff made my friend’s birthday a very special one by singing and bringing a delicious dessert with a candle.

Toku is the perfect blend of upscale elegance and vibrant atmosphere. The Asian fusion menu is creative and has a wide variety of flavors that cater to every palate. Plus, the cocktail menu is just as impressive.

The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and quick to accommodate any special requests or preferences. Lastly, the ambience at Toku is sleek and stylish.
