I came here the day after Christmas to have dinner with my cousin and her fiancé who were visiting from out of town. We were nervous we would not get a table because they were booked with reservations. But they told us we could get a table as long as a party did not show up for the reservation. That’s exactly what happened and we had a booth within 15 minutes.

The BBQ is all you can eat and oh my god did I eat. The meat tasted amazing, you could tell it was quality meat. All the meats and dishes were seasoned perfectly. The grill was really fun to use, I liked this style compared to the other bbq grills we normally see at restaurants in Portland.

The service was warm and friendly. They tended to us but also left us alone. There is a 1:30 limit and we certainly overstayed but they did not say anything or make an issue which I appreciated because it had been a long time since I saw my family.

I will definitely return, maybe with my parents or husband, to have more bbq.

I’d say this is my top kbbq place. The meat selection isn’t very big compared to other kbbq places, but the quality is much better, especially the beef. It’s a small place but it never gets too crowded or smoky. Their grill is sunken so there’s less oil splatter on clothes. They also have great options for banchans and those are AYCE. I love that they have combos/ala cart options; I actually like them better than AYCE, since I get the same 3 meats everytime, the wrap combos are my fave! Also, their steamed egg and tofu soup are a must! I typically spend around $150 (tip and all) for 3 peeps.

We ordered unlimited Korean bbq. There r 4 options, I think option A is enough. All kind of meat they give is such a big portion. First they will ask u to choose 4 kinds of meat, but I suggest asking for only 2 at the beginning. The beef brisket is good. The marinated meat sauce is too sweet for me, so we only choose beef brisket for second round.
Staff are all very friendly, they will come to ask what you need even they are often very busy.
The only downside is their kimchi has a bit odd of taste. But other side dishes are good .

The restaurant was very clean, the food was very fresh and the service was great.

I love that the vent for the grill works so well. Usually, when we eat kbbq, we feel greasy and sticky, and we don’t feel this way at Toji. My phone was even on the table and didn’t have any grease splatters.

We would be back, for sure. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the first time we tried to eat here, we waited over an hour for a table and left to eat somewhere else. I’m glad we gave them a second chance.

We have been coming here for years and just keep loving the place more and more!

They have the best banchan we have ever found at a korean bbq spot and the best meat. Seriously, we clean the banchan plates everytime before we leave.

We get the plates of meat rather than the all you can eat since we have specific meats we love and just want large quantities of those.

Get their Toji Galbi and make sure to get a side of ssamjang to go with it for dipping!!

Also these are the sweetest servers and they always make sure we are taken care of. We love this spot.

Updated Review March 7, 2025: as a couple, we walked in like we always have done. Signed up on their reservation list as a walk-in. Every name above our’s was seated and crossed off. So we were next. We sat on the bench for 30 minutes. No one from the restaurant checked in again, or let us know what the wait time would be. We were patiently waiting. ⏳️

One Waitress asked if we had reservations and I pointed to the clipboard near us saying, “yes we signed up.” My name was down and it said “6:40pm” when I signed up. She walked off and we didn’t see her again. We saw another couple right by the front door finish eating, pay and leave. So bam! A table opened up.

After 30 minutes, two more couples walked in. Just like we did. Signed up. THEN they were both seated before we were even acknowledged. It was really disappointing and upsetting. We left as soon as that happened and it left us not wanting to come back again. It wasn’t fair at all. Our previous 2 experiences here, we got seated immediately, put in the corner, and neglected as soon as our food arrived. So we always got Buffet style (no refilling of the foods though) which is plenty of food for us both, the sides are very small to share between 2 people so I would suggest asking for more right away when you have their attention. We always also get 2 large beers so we don’t have to wait around for refills.

Review from 2024: The Korean BBQ Buffet menu? Do it! $30.99/per person. Tons of meats to choose from, little sides, and sauces. What a deal! They dissappear on you though, no refilling on drinks or food unless you get up and wave them down to ask. ($10 charge for asking for a box of course for food that isn’t eaten. Just so you know, its on the menu in fine print).

Honestly, I’ll never come back to this restaurant. Compared to other places this place is not the best. Prices are a bit too expensive considering the fact they do not change the grill AT All. They were nice at the beginning but at the end the waiter followed us to the car asking us to give them a 20% tip for their services. In all the Korean bbq grills I’ve gone to they never were soo persistent and annoying for a tip. I usually do give tips, but the amount of it depends on the person. The fact that I was literally forced to pay for it got me mad due to the place was really old and grill was never changed. They act good at the beginning, but it is all an act. If you wanna feel what I did that day do not give a tip and wait out of the restaurant for a bit, you’ll see how u get chance by the waiter.

Very nice place, helpful staff and lovely food! We called beforehand and made a reservation but there is a waitlist at the restaurant too if you want. Very delicious meat and side dishes!

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner. We chose the Option D on the all you can eat menu and were shocked at the quality of the food we received. It was much better than similar all you can eat kbbq places we have been in both Oregon and California. Katie our attendant was very nice and sweet and explained the menu to us. She came by frequently but not to the point where it was ruining the atmosphere of our date. Will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family

Juiciest KBBQ!!! I’ve never had such melt in your mouth KBBQ no joke this is the best quality of meat I’ve ever put in my mouth. While there was a slight wait our party of 11 received everything we asked for which is impressive considering there was only one server for a Friday night. 10/10 would go back here again.
