Had the lunch bulgogi rice special. It was pretty good. Basically the equivalent to something you can get from the Korean market, which currently isn’t available in Bakersfield.

Looked at the place online and was very excited. Once we got there the place was dingy and dark. When ordering the waitress seemed confused and generally unfriendly. When being brought our food one of our orders was completely wrong and the other seemed like a knock off version of what we ordered. It wasn’t what the menu described and was disappointing and overall gross. It tasted like I attempted the dish at home and failed. There was one service worker who brought us our check and was super sweet. He was the highlight of our dinner and asked why we didn’t enjoy the food and such, but overall the experience here was bad and we won’t be coming back.

Came here with my boyfriend who found the place. The food was soo good and the portions are so generous. I’m so happy to have a place to eat Korean food in Bakersfield now. The day we went our server was Karen and she was super nice to us. She made our first time very comfortable and we’ve gone 2 other times now because we like the place so much. The only negative thing we’ve had so far is another server though who has purple hair who was talking to this other table while when we were waiting to be seated. We stood there as she chatted and it felt kind of awkward until another server came to seat us. Other than that the place is great.

Updated review: had to drop this place to 2 stars from my original 5 stars. The food is still good but the service has really gone down hill. On 2 different occasions, by the same server, we were given the wrong food and made to feel like it was our fault. The first time was while sitting in the restaraunt and that was easily fixed, the second time was for take out where she forgot to include some of our food. When I called back I told her to just cancel the food we didn’t get and refund the difference to our credit card. She refused to do that and said I had to come back and pick up the food. I told her I wasn’t going to drive back there and get cold food. She refused so I had to dispute charges with my CC company. If you make the mistake you should be willing to fix it for your customer, if you can’t do that, then you won’t have customers for long. Luckily other Korean restaurant have now opened in town and this is no longer the best Korean food in town.

Have been multiple times. Always get their spicy tofu and some mackerel. I share the meal with my wife and it is a lot of food. Service is fast at dinner but lunch it’s a little slower. But that’s no big deal.

Spicy bibimbap very good. Rice was crispy. I did not take photos of the meals but everyone enjoyed their dishes. Went for lunch. I would certainly go back. Kimchi pancake was good but wish it was a bit crispier.

The food was all so delicious and the server was wonderful and would check up on us. The food arrived very quickly too, so 10/10! It was practically empty with only one other customer which is hard to believe since the food and service was really good. The staff even told us goodbye when we left, which felt nice. It’s slightly cheaper than the other Korean restaurants. I really enjoyed coming here over the other places in Bakersfield.
I’m going to be honest, the walls are a little dirty, but I’m not expecting perfection from a place with food and as long as the table and utensils are clean, I’m not going to make a fuss. I also feel that the menus can be updated since it seems that there has been menu changes. They offer a lot of options to pick from, though. They really have a bit of everything and everything we tried was really good. Really enjoyed coming here.

12.22.2023 Decided to stop for a bite while driving through Bakersfield. I was totally in disbelief how small portion the Hot Pot Bulgogi #81 is at 19.99. I was expecting a decent size at $20.. instead.. it was in a small tufu bowl with very little bulgogi. Totally got ripped off at $20.. should have been priced at $15.
