Went for Sunday Brunch, ordered one of the famous omelets. It had avacado, turkey, sour cream and jack cheese along with hasbrowns and sourdough toast. Everything was delicious.
Our server was very friendly, quick to check on us, prompt and professional. We sat on the patio – I recommend it. The interior is beautiful. Parking is limited to the street and can be busy, especially on a weekend. It is a beautiful neighborhood to walk if you’re up for it.

This is a late post but, figured I would knock it out so people could get some more helpful advice while visiting. Great place to eat. We were sat on the patio on a beautiful day while there was a “One man band” playing. The music was nice and made for a relaxing day other patio with shade. I will order random things or ask the waitress to bring me something good which can be a big gamble but I’m not that picky. The waitress was very accommodating and brought me a Guadalajara sandwich with grilled sour dough and my gosh it was killer good! Typical me fashion, I took a bite as always before the picture was taken, so it wasn’t delivered with a taste bite taken out of it. I would never normally order this sandwich but it was a 10/10 and I would definitely recommend it. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was great. We ordered 4 meals and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We would suggest you make a stop if you’re in the grass valley area.

I highly recomend the Osacar Benedict ( although the Hollandaise could use a touch of lemon to complement the crab) and you can choose from 101 omelets listed (I am not kidding). And a full bar…for me the service was exactly as it should be…attentive but not intrusive. Be shure to get there early, because the place fills up quickly.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch there. Service was great and it has a charming atmosphere.
It was a cool January day so we dined inside. We have also dined on the outside patio before and had an enjoyable experience.
She had the Fish and Chips and it was wonderful. Healthy thick cuts of Cod and tasty fries. I had the Corned Beef Club. Again another wonderful meal. The sandwich was very generously put together with corned beef and turkey and if you like rye bread it is very tasty sandwich. Neither of us could finish our meal, we left happy and had leftovers for later.

We found our new go too for a quaint, unique dinning. I love the outdoor space and appreciated the entertainment and the fact that you could still have a conversation without yelling over the top of the music. The food and menu were right on par. I LOVE Italian food but appreciated that they also had steak and some other options. The entire place smelled amazing with garlic and cheese, every plate that I saw come out was beautiful and portions were not lacking. The waitress was polite and attentive as well as the other staff we encountered. I love that they allow dogs on the patio and that they also have a full bar. The only disappointment was that I made a reservation the Thursday before for 6:30pm on the patio for Saturday and when we arrived, it was a good thing I had an email confirmation because whomever took the call apparently never wrote it in the book, so my only suggestion is to make sure you get your email confirmation before you go. We will be going back FOR SURE and can’t wait.

Fish and chips were delicious. 2 large pieces of perfectly cooked fish. Fries crispy and hot. Omelet was loaded and large. Fluffy and delicious. Definitely going back when in the area.

Very nice restaurant with good quality dinner food. Their list of egg Benedict’s is super long and great variety. The cinnamon was not as good as I would expect and in fact was dry and burn in areas. Service was great and we were treated super well. Overall, nice place for a bite when in town.

I ordered the lasagna, and it was tasty but it needed to be heated. My salad and drink were good. The service was not good at all! We had to ask for our utensils and the extra olive on my friend’s drink. I think it’s overpriced.

We went here for dinner to celebrate my mother in law’s 70th birthday. Reservations were made for 6 on a Friday (8/9/24) evening at 6:30 pm. Our table was ready for us when we got there. There was live music out in the patio when we were there. We were seated indoors and wasn’t able to listen to the music however.
Our server (Gabriella) was awesome. She was super nice and very hospitable. She greeted us properly and was able to answer our questions. She gave us the space and time to decide on dinner. She tended to our needs when we needed her.
Our food arrived within 15-20 minutes upon placing our order hot from the kitchen. The dishes were beautifully presented especially the Chicken Salad and the Halibut. My Halibut turned out excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome. The lemon was a tad much however and overpowered the flavor of the rice. Still it was very delicious. My wife’s Chicken Salad was also delicious. The Chicken Fettuccine was also prepared very well. The steak however fell somewhat short of expectations. I was told the cut was fattier than expected and slightly undercooked to order. It was suppose to be medium but came out redder than expected. The taste was excellent however.
Our total came out to be about $240 with tax and tip which included a glass of wine to go with our dinner. No desserts however.
So how did Tofenelli score?
Atmosphere 5/5. Service 5/5. Food 4.5/5. Value to Price Ratio 5/5. Overall Experience 4.75/5.
Our experience at Tofenelli was very good. Gabriella was a great host and provided us excellent service. Food was mostly (almost) perfect. I would caution to inquire about the steak and be more specific on how you want your steak prepared. Tofenelli is a charming place to have an enjoyable dinner.
