Tocaya Organica delivers a healthy, plant-based menu with fresh ingredients, but the experience left me feeling underwhelmed for the price.
The atmosphere is bright and modern, and the staff are polite—service was average: not notably fast, but not slow either. We received our food in a reasonable time, and the staff checked in regularly, which was appreciated.
On the menu, you’ll find bowls, tacos, salads, and grain bowls with plenty of veggies and protein options. I opted for a quinoa bowl with roasted vegetables and tofu—everything tasted fresh, but the flavors felt muted and a bit bland. Portions were decent but didn’t feel especially generous.
Prices lean toward the higher side for what you get: around $15–18 for bowls that, while nutritious, didn’t offer that extra flavor punch or satisfaction.
If you’re after clean, healthy food and don’t mind paying more for it, Tocaya Organica is a reliable choice. Just don’t expect bold flavors or great value.
BTW: mexican cookie is not worth it.

I absolutely love Tocaya Orgánica Playa Vista. The food is consistently fresh and incredibly tasty, and the tortilla soup is hands down my favorite. It is comforting, flavorful, and always hits the spot. Their plant-based tacos are also fantastic, especially the Taco Dorado, which is a total steal on Taco Tuesday.
Every employee I’ve interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu, which makes the experience even better. Parking is easy, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal any day of the week. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food and great service.

I absolutely recommend this place. The food was so good and tasted clean. The location was great and there was plenty of places to sit in or outside. We had horchata which was really good, I love that… and nachos with a cheese sauce. This was also good but the cheese was a lil too watery, it would have been better if it were slightly thicker, white cilantro rice and a guilt, was quesadilla that was sautéed mushrooms and. Egan cheeses. Here’s where we ran into an issue… they brought it out… and it wasn’t vegan cheese so they took it back and then it took like 45 minutes to get a replacement dish. To say I was pissed is an understatement. My group were all done when my food came out, that was not acceptable because I didn’t order something complicated, it was a quesadilla… I literally watched 4 other groups that came in after us get their food and eat while I still waited. Honestly I think they forgot or something … we had to go ask and finally got it. There was no visit from the manager apologizing, and that was sad because the food was really good but the customer service was lacking big time that day.

I LOVE Tocaya!
I used to go to the El Segundo location every Tuesday but sadly they closed that location.
It’s a bit of a drive but it’s well worth it for me.
This location is a bit hidden.
There’s a parking structure with validation.
They have a nice outdoor patio as well as a lovely indoor seating area.
Service is super friendly.
The food is AMAZING as usual.
I ordered the chips and salsa, the plantain chips with guacamole, berria tacos, tinga tacos, salmon tacos, papas y queso tacos, and Baja tacos. Everything was yummy.
Will be returning every Taco Tuesday!

Great place with amazing food – always love finding places that make vegan friendly dishes and this spot definitely has great options!
A little on the expensive side, but worth the money. Fresh flavors and ingredients with a great variety of options. I usually get the bowls or tacos, so if you don’t know where to start I’d recommend those.

Phenomenal Mexican food with many vegan options clearly marked. The food totally hit the spot. Especially the house-made queso (OMG!!) and the aquas frescos. Their jalapeno flour tortilla was absolutely worth it – all flavour and very mild spice.
The service was great too. Friendly staff and helpful. Nice ambience with options to sit in or outside.

I do not know what’s going on over at this location, I have never had such a bad experience. Everything was cold and seemed like it was made hours ago even though it was not a long distance from the restaurant to my house. The delivery came pretty quickly. The tinga tacos were the only thing that was passable but the tortillas were soggy and undercooked. The churro bites were so soaked in butter and soggy that they leaked thru the container and the bag that the food came in. The Baja fish tacos were bone dry and mostly batter, the fish inside was about 1/2 an inch thick. The queso tasted kinda old and off. And then beans were cold, bone dry, and hard! Disappointing cause I’ve had their food before and it’s never amazing but some of this was not edible.

First time at this location. I usually go to the one in DTLA, this location was nice had a good inside and outside seating area, service was great and food was delicious, I had the chicken fajita burrito and a side of guacamole and planting chips. My buddy tried out the salmon salad and the taco sampler. We enjoyed all of it. The service was quick and great . Only downfall about this place was that parking was a bit difficult to find.
