They have a nice menu with some very fun pizza choices. We ordered the Backyard Burger Pizza and it was delish. The mustard sauce absolutely made it. Their iced tea is also very good, which I always notice.
We had great service from an actual human and a robot, which honestly added to the experience.
The robot started out strong, confidently delivering food to Mr. Roboto and the Star Wars Death Star theme. Very upbeat. Very powerful.
As we were getting ready to leave, it quietly rolled by playing Major Tom, which suddenly felt a little… existential.
Great food, good service, and an unexpected emotional journey brought to us by a robot.
I hope the robot is okay.
I convinced my better half that we should try Tobies instead of our uncles place.
So we strolled over and we’re taken by surprise.
1. You seat yourself.
2. It was game night.
3. How warm the staff was.
It was like a home away from home. Great vibes, freshly made food, and great options from the menu.
We didn’t dive in like we normally do, but from the fresh loaf of bread and garlic oil, to the dinner salad, and the pizza was delicious as well. Plenty of toppings with a side of ranch, was absolutely good.
We’ll definitely be back.
We returned last night with our kids. Our daughter who cannot have dairy or gluten LOVED the ability to get pizza that tasted (in her words) “better than any other gluten/dairy free pizza I’ve ever had.” She felt relieved to find an option that tasted like real pizza.
My son had the fettuccine and loved it. We tried a couple other pizza options and loved it.
Food delivery robot was pretty cool as well!

Ok…so where to start …
I guess for starters, if you haven’t been…correct yourself!
Wife and I went in on a Friday night for the first time. Easy get to, plenty of parking, and all that good stuff. Facilities is very good size so didnt feel cramped, very clean, and feels nice and open. A few TVs on the walls with sports on.
We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and told we could pick our table (I always prefer that option). We were walked to our table by Tobie…who is more than a mascot. He makes you feel like family. (He literally grabbed a toy and laid down at our feet until someone new came in). Our server came to take drinks and was very knowledgeable about the menu. As first timers we had some questions, especially about their gluten and dairy free options that would suit our daughter.
We ordered a couple ($1.50 cans I might add…$2.50 Modelo). The owner brought the beer and talked over their gluten and dairy free options, so we felt good about their procedures to prevent cross contamination. Discussed their use of fresh ingredients, etc. The server brought us a nice fresh loaf of bread with oil and Italian seasoning.
We ordered to pizzas from a hard list to pick from (they all sounded good). Decided to try one thin crust and one hand tossed. We ordered the “Wanna Bet” which if you check the menu has ghost pepper cheese, jalapenos and sirracha sausage. I appreciated that the owner came back to let us know…it is hot. We also ordered the “Home Wrecker,” which is relatable to a taco pizza.
When the pizza came out I was immediately impressed with the Home Wrecker. Usually when you order a taco pizza the toppings are all piled on and the lettuce is hot and soggy before it hits the table. At Tobies they serve the toppings on the side…like a salad . Everything was fresh and crisp. Loved the sauce and beans mix, the meat was tasty, and their hand tossed crust is some of the best I have had in quite a while. It is definitely fresh.
Now to the Wanna Bet…boy, this one brings the heat (if you are surprised…well, it is on the menu with ghost peppers ♂️). If you like spicy, I’d put this on level with good buffalo spice. Its hot, but has great flavor and doesn’t linger. Sip some water, dip in home made ranch and life is good. We had this one on the thin crust, which they square cut the slices, and I think it was the perfect choice (though the hand tossed would be hard to pass on when we come back…because we will be back).
Alright…if you made it this far, you must be at least a little intrigued, so go back to the map, and follow the directions to Tobies. You are going to love it. If you don’t, talk to the owner and I am sure she will make it right. Order extra, and take it home.
Can’t wait to go back.
Bees Knees is THE BEST pizza. The sidekick salad with the jalapeño ranch… THE BEST.
The servers are SO sweet + the owner is the coolest. Overall this experience is awesome time and time again. Stay tuned, they’re about to open AN ARCADE!
The friendly owner, Jen, answered our questions about the menu, we made our choices, then an array of tasty foods began to arrive at our table.
First, the juiciest handmade (not frozen) fried mushrooms ever, then a delicious Side Kick Salad with house made Ranch.
Hubby and I each ordered our own pizza with mine being a Margherita (not listed on the menu, but requested), and he got the American Pie.
The hand tossed crust on both pizzas was flavorful and provided that satisfying bite of soft chewy bread you’d hope for in a great baked-just-right crust.
What more can I say about the fresh, creamy mozzarella and generous layer of fresh basil on the Margherita, and all the fresh meats and veggies on the American Pie?
Honorable mention goes to the house made marinara sauce on both pizzas. That first bite confirmed that this was indeed going to be a great pizza experience!
Overall, great food, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a nice casual atmosphere will have us returning again!
GF mushrooms – cooked perfectly
Homemade chips – a must-try
Pizza – the crust is spot on, and the cheese pull would give any pizzeria a run for its money
Bonus: a friendly, calm golden retriever roaming around (of course it’s Tobie )
Highly recommend stopping by for a fantastic, cozy experience!
