My husband and I ate here on a Saturday. We walked in very shortly after they opened, so the place was completely empty. We were seated right away, and the waitress took very good care of us… Now the food; the grits were the best I have ever eaten. Truly. The fried chicken was crispy, hot, and fresh. I was able to get Texas Pete seasoning on my fries, and it was so good! I have never seen that on any menu before. After we ate, we played pool, darts, and a few arcade games that were in the game room. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back.

I stopped in here before a Canes game and I’m very glad I did. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and mashed potatoes were phenomenal. Super delicious, and their award winning Shot Caller IPA was superb. Great atmosphere, lot of locals in there watching the Panthers game with tons of screens to choose from. Service was very quick and food came out quick despite the crowd. Server wasn’t super friendly but overall a great place to grab a beer, some food and watch a game. I’ll definitely be back.

We held our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at Tobacco Road Raleigh, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We rented all three floors of their event space, and it truly made the day feel special and unique. The special events manager, Tami, was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. She answered all of my questions promptly, met with us several times to go over final details, and helped ease any stress or anxiety, especially since we didn’t use a wedding planner.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was unmatched. Our guests told us about how much they enjoyed the space and the experience overall. We had the best time and would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a memorable event space!

This place was great!! Loved the food. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes. They were nice. Loved the salad that came with it on the side, as well as the jam and pimento cheese. The Buffalo nacho was different but great. I lived the Buffalo blue cheese sauce that came on it. I lived how some of the cheese had this fried effect to it. It was nice. OMG!! The Pork Belly Tacos are definitely a hit. Please try those for sure. I will definitely be back! Looking forward to it!

Visited once for a work meeting and had to go back to get the hummus again. The food was amazing while also being average price for the area. The staff were extremely friendly and super quick. The whole atmosphere is clean and relaxed, plus they have a small arcade area! Parking can be tedious, but they currently have a reimbursement process for the adjacent parking garage.

We stopped by here for drinks and dinner on a Thursday after work with the kids. It place was pretty empty at 5 pm and they had a private event in the other room. It has a really cool atmosphere and it is massive. The only downside was the service was a little slow even though they had more than enough staff just standing around. The food was also a little off as well. My wife got nachos which were fine but the pimento cheese and pork rinds were a bit stale. Both dishes and our sons chicken strips were very heavy and greasy. I highly recommend the beer but will pass on the food next time.

First…. The food…. Every bite of everything is IMMENSE pleasure! It’s Southern cooking raised to an exquisite level of perfection!

I was at a private event for about 40 people upstairs with a buffet. The first thing I saw was the CORNBREAD and OMG it was thick, moist, rich, and I savored every bite. Everything on the buffet was packed with FLAVOR!

Our attentive, always-smiling server was Ty, and we were so fortunate she was assigned to us! I was a co-host of the event and she knew where everything was and she communicated so well with us as well as with other staff to get whatever we needed quickly. There are stairs involved to get to the private-event area and she did not mind the countless ups and downs.

Easy Public Parking is right across the street for $3 in the large parking lot of the now-closed 42nd Street Oyster Bar (to pay you have to scan the QR code on the sign at the street after you’ve parked before entering the Tobacco Road front door). There’s also limited on-the-street parking right in front of the restaurant.

The next time someone says, “Where do you want to go?” I’ll say, “Tobacco Road!!!” (There’s this one in Raleigh and another one in Durham). Thanks Tobacco Road for the fabulous experience!

Visited here on a week night. Place was close to empty so we were a little concerned. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Service was fast and accurate. The food we got was very good. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. Good sized portions for the price. The only thing that was not great was the beer selection and taste. They were out if one or 2 they had listed and the ones I tried were average at best.

We had a family after party here the day after our nieces wedding. The food and service was excellent and our bartender/waitperson Neek was amazing! She balanced making drinks/serving beer and serving meals with grace professionalism friendliness and courtesy. Will definitely be back when in the area!

Nice atmosphere and good service for the two drinks we ordered. We didn’t order food. I take 2 stars off because they charge extra for credit cards. Businesses benefit from easy billing and reduced counting errors and therefore should not penalize credit card purchases.
