I was super excited when I saw the menu. Great variety of sandwiches and product explanation. Waited almost 35 minutes for the food to be unfortunately disappointed by the presentation and overall taste. The Turkey Brie cheese and Granny Smith apple sandwich was assembled very poorly, having a single slice of apple, cheese not spread, and the onions were large and overwhelming. Disassembled the sandwich myself at the bar, spread the cheese, removed half the onions, diced the apple, and spread for even taste. No love from the kitchen staff. The place was clean, and the bartender was very hospitable. He apologized for the long wait time and poor assembly. Final thoughts, BOH kitchen staff needs a revamp and consider implementing sauces or drizzle to elevate the sandwiches. They’re almost there. They just need to tighten up a few things.

I’ve had old fashions all over the world. But this tops it all. Ivan created the perfect combination and I highly recommend coming here if only for this one cocktail. The wide variety of bourbons is also extensive. Great choice if you’re in the area…and even if you aren’t.

Joel and Charlie were a complete blast ! Additionally Joel made me a mezcalita that was not on the menu based on my likes, the drink was absolutely amazing! As a person who grew up drinking mezcal this cocktail was amazing and brought out all the flavors of the mezcal 10/10 recommend

Ivan is the best bartender I’ve had in this area of SD! Always remembers my name and my preferences. Great bartender to chat with. Also their grilled cheese and tomato soup really is something outside of your average meal. I was skeptical before I ordered my first meal. I never was partial to tomato soup but they do something special here. Definitely worth checking out if you want a good experience!

Honestly, if you want a nice relaxing atmosphere, with solid food, this is the place. Ivan is awesome, he’s a knowledge bartender that will make you the best drinks in Gaslamp!

Not worth coming to this establishment unless you’re looking for rude service and dirty facilities. Coming in during comic con as a local I always try to find new places to add to my rotation and can say this is definitely one to skip. I watched management reprimand a smoker outside on the sidewalk but welcomed homelessness on their premises which seemed very odd. Just don’t go. It’s gross.
