I am visiting KC from New Orleans. This restaurant is inside the Holiday Inn Hotel. Entry requires a hotel key card. If you don’t have one, no worries, there’s a phone nearby. I chose to sit at the bar where Javad and Phoebe assisted me. They were attentive, friendly and gave quality service! Javad made one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had!!! I ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs over medium and potatoes. The food came out hot and didn’t require extra salt or pepper. If you’re ever in the area, stop by Toast to Toast. You won’t regret it.

Phoebee was her name … and crap, what was the chef’s name again? Jen. Pretty sure it was Jen. Well, if I screwed this up, apologies to the chef named something other than Jen.

Alright, time to listen up. Clean food in the American hotel network is as rare as a three-dollar bill. Usually, you’re staring down Goodyear eggs—rubbery, overinflated, and designed to bounce off a plate—and tire track bacon strips that strip the treads off your taste buds.

But not here.

Because somehow, against all odds, we stumbled upon the national treasure that is the Holiday Inn Kansas City Downtown breakfast buffet.

And can you believe we made it on the inaugural day? I shit you not. The sun does shine on a farmer’s ass when the stars align. If you’re ever in Kansas City and need to straighten out your digestive bits, stop and see Phoebe and ol’ what’s-her-name at the breakfast buffet.

No need to thank me. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Beautiful bar and great attentive staff. Javad said he’d make me the best espresso martini I’ve ever had and he did not disappoint!

This is our first time staying at your hotel. Breakfast was phenomenal. All the seasonings and flavor were absolutely on point. Jen and Phoebe were outstanding with their attention to making our breakfast complete. They took the time to explain what all was available to us and they were overall very very welcoming. Phoebe made sure we knew what all drinks were available for us and where to get them. Jen made sure we had fresh and hot food available. We have stayed at many hotels in our travels and this is by far the best breakfast and staff we have experienced. We will definitely return.

This place had a calm and comfortable vibe that made the meal more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and checked in at the right times without hovering. It felt like a well-run spot where people care about the experience. The food came out hot and didn’t take long. I’d recommend it for a quiet breakfast or lunch downtown.

Toast to Toast is fantastic! The food was delicious, and my kids loved their grilled cheese and chicken tenders—which they got for free with our meal. The place is very accessible, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is in a rundown Holliday Inn. Came in from out of town and just stopped by for breakfast after checking the reviews. Parking is $25 and a hotel key is needed to enter the building.. Breakfast was heated up Jimmy Dean’s sausage. Corporate must have submitted all the reviews.
