Had been wanting to try this place forever, and was super excited to finally do so. Stopped in here after 8:00 mass at St. Stanislaus, and was able to grab a table for three, although the place was already pretty packed. Toast does not accept reservations. It’s first come, first serve. There are tables on two levels, and a long bar available for dining. Service was fast, friendly and accommodating.
I had the Mary’s Hot Sister bloody mary and the Rise & Shine. The bloody was good, with a nice little hint of spice, and came with a chaser. The Rise & Shine was fresh and delicious, with the braised brisket being super tender and flavorful. I could have eaten an entire bowl of just that! My mother ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and was overwhelmed by the size. Three pancakes, the size of dinner plates, glazed on top with vanilla icing. Not overly sweet, very delicious and easily a shareable dish.
Toast is a great spot with an upbeat yet chilled vibe. If you can’t get in right away, it’s absolutely worth a wait!

Really good food here! I haven’t had a good breakfast place in awhile! The chicken gravy was fantastic! I would highly suggest to have the egg poached so when you split it open it just covers the whole thing and it looks amazing . Also recommend having the spicy sauce (that comes with it) on the side for you to dip into instead of it drizzled over your dish because it was VERY SPICY lol but it provides a nice kick to the dish.

This is my new favorite spot! Such a cozy space with big chill vibes and even bigger bolder flavors!!! The staff is awesome and the atmosphere is ICONIC! I could go on and on but this place speaks for itself. 10/10. We can’t wait to try more from this masterpiece of a menu! Soooo YUMMY!!! ❤️

Fabulous restaurant to catch a great breaking, brunch, staff lunch (like we did) in a chill, artsy, vibrant positive atmosphere. The menu has a counter culture theme and by the looks of what my work colleagues had and my definitely my order…I don’t think they’re was anything in that menu that wasn’t good. The days it’s open are selective so you have to pay attention to their schedule. Lots of dope art strung throughout both floors set in an old cream city brick building in the 5th ward. Treat yo self!

Toast had been on my list of spots to check out when I got to Milwaukee, and I’m happy to say it lived up to the expectations.
I only ordered one thing, the caramel apple French toast, but it was more than enough to fill me up. The dish had alot of flavor and was satisfying without being over the top. It definitely hit the spot.
The restaurant offers a mix of booth seating, table seating, and bar seating, so there are plenty of options depending on your vibe or group size. The space feels welcoming and comfortable.
I also had a birthday reward they had sent me, which was a nice touch. However, there was a $30 minimum spend to use it. In the end, I didn’t spend that much, so I couldn’t apply the reward , but honestly, that worked out fine. The prices are pretty reasonable, and I left full and happy without breaking the bank.

Today I slid into Toast Milwaukee for the first time and let me just say — the brunch gods were working overtime in that kitchen.
I went with the Cajun Skillet and it did not play any games. Shrimp, sausage, eggs, asparagus, and a mix of fresh veggies came together in a savory, soulful dish that had layers of flavor. Seasoned just right with that Cajun kick that makes your shoulders move before your fork even hits the plate.
Now — transparency moment: when the skillet first came out, it was warm. And y’all know I do not do warm food . If it’s not steaming, we’re not dreaming.
But credit where it’s due — they took it back, remade it and brought it out piping hot. And baby… once that heat hit the plate? Delicious. Worth every bite.
Meanwhile, #2 ordered the pancakes — three fluffy clouds the size of the whole plate. Light, airy, and the kind that make you reconsider your life choices and ask yourself if you should’ve gone sweet instead of savory. ✨
Atmosphere? Cozy, upbeat, and very much Milwaukee brunch culture at its finest.
Service? They made it right without hesitation.
Overall, Toast Milwaukee gets a solid 8.5/10 from me — and I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Liked the music and groovy vibe. Milwaukee brick building, just a bit narrow. Great for pairs or smaller groups. Expect a wait later in the morning on weekends.
We stuck to the savory items and enjoyed the Smoke Show Hash and Avocado Toast. The Hash was flavorful, with the crema sauce being a must. The Avocado Toast was great with so much on it – would have skipped the corn.

The kids pancake is superb, it comes with choice of sausage and bacon and fries, breakfast potatoes or hash browns. To top it off with powdered sugar!! Definatly a jewel in the fifth ward!!
