My husband and I came here for breakfast just passing through. We chose this eatery for the reviews and they were spot on! Everything and everyone at this establishment was nothing short of fenominal. I had the pancake sampler and my husband had a new menu item which incorporated brisket from a local BBQ partner. The service was excellent – food came fast and was delicious and the dining experience was one to remember. Everyone was so genuinely welcoming and friendly. It was the perfect breakfast date. 5 stars ⭐

My two eggs over easy were excellent though a little over cooked yoke was not as runny as I expected.
Wife loved her gluten free pancakes with blueberries.
My good friend’s carrot cake pancakes were also a hit and very much recommended by him.
Service was good and professional.
The atmosphere is upscale diner – nice.

My friend and I had brunch here, and everything was so delicious! I ordered the Southwest Breakfast Bowl, which came with eggs, potatoes, and toast. I added chorizo for some extra protein, and it was perfect. The flavors were amazing, and I’d definitely come back again!

This is a wonderful breakfast place!! I brought my family here and they had a wonderful time! The staff were so kind, the atmosphere was calm, and the food was amazing!! I had the pancake special and it was absolutely spectacular!! Again, all of the staff was extremely attentive and kind! Next time I visit Ocean Grove I will definitely stop by again. Thank you!! (I also wanted to say how adorable and comfortable it is inside. I love all of the decorations!!)

Four of us went for breakfast around 9:30 AM on a Friday. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. My coconut latte was fabulous, and the others enjoyed hot chai lattes and a caramel latte. The lemon poppyseed pancakes were a dream! All of us cleaned our plates! By the time we were getting ready to leave the entire place was packed and everything appeared to be running efficiently.
We did witness one unhappy customer who was displeased with the 3% surcharge for using a credit card (which we thought was petty since almost every place does this). The man seemed to want to cause a scene. The manager/owner handled the rude customer very well and remained calm and professional the entire time. Kudos to him!
We highly recommend Toast and, if we return to Asbury Park, we will definitely be back to enjoy more delicious food!

5-Star Review for Toast – Asbury Park

From the moment we walked in, the experience at Toast in Asbury Park was amazing. We were warmly greeted by Michael , and our server Hannah took the time to go over the specials — which many places don’t even bother to do. She was super sweet and made us feel welcomed right away.

We ordered the Banana Plaster with bacon — the bacon was cooked perfectly (not burnt!), which we really appreciated. We also had the BLT with extra bacon, and the lemon poppy with blueberry — everything was presented beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked.

The egg white omelet with bacon, ham, tomatoes, and onions was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.

Everything was very, very, very good. Toast definitely earned their five stars. Go check them out — you won’t be disappointed!

This place is not only an amazing breakfast haunt, but you can come here for a great brunch or lunch as well! You can never go wrong with the pancake plate which always comes with carrot cake, red velvet, And lemon poppy.

All the hashes are great, including the corn beef and the crab, but my personal favorite is the Santa Fe bowl add chorizo, and it literally becomes the perfect meal! If you’re in the mood for lunch, they have a great Thai wrap!

Was so disappointed by something so simple to make. Went on Saturday at 12:30, it was busy so I anticipated that the service was going to be a bit slow but 45 minutes for pancakes and eggs is a bit much. Coffee was ice cold and had to ask for FRESH coffee but they ran out of mugs and had to “dump out the old and fill it with new coffee” ….Cappuccino took 20 minutes to be served because they were busy. Waiter was nice so we tried to stay optimistic. All the food was served cold except for the pancakes. The sausage and pepper omelet had ice cold veggies and the potatoes were old and not fresh. The waiter did comp the bill for the cold omelette and we just couldn’t be bothered to complain about the rest of it. The waiter asked the manager to comp the bill and he was rude and in earshot of our table but still failed to come and apologize or offer something else as a replacement. Was just deflated at this point.
The only great thing was the carrot cake pancakes. They were hot, fluffy and full of carrots, raisins and spices.
The ambiance is trendy and there is a buzz in the place but I just couldn’t get past the overall disappointment especially after paying $80 for 4 people even after the deducted omelette. Maybe a weekday would be better to try again but definitely not the weekend.

Had a tough time reviewing this one because I really looked forward to coming here

Service is what brought it down. We waited approximately an hour for our food and it was a nightmare getting our checks split up.

Burgers were overcooked

Chocolate chip pancakes only had chocolate on the top of the pancake, not baked within. Kind of a let down.

Got some eggshell in the crab hash

The menu seemed great with some good options like red velvet pancakes and some good omelets and lattes.

After trying out some other places in the area I will give this one another go in hope that it was just a on time thing
