I live over an hour away from Toast and Roast, but I was up here to watch my granddaughter‘s basketball tournament game. I had looked up coffee shops in McHenry and found it. And what a find! A spacious establishment with clearly readable menu and great service! I had the Toast’d Latte and it was excellent. I highly recommend Toast and Roast! If I lived closer, it would definitely be on my go to shortlist for coffee shops

Hello! Last August my newly husband and were showered with love from our amazing moms and families! This beautiful evening celebration was located at the delicious Toast & Roast!! Our wedding shower was a beautiful evening filled with a lot of laughter, love and positive energy in the room. A special thank you to the awesome service from owners and team members of Toast & Roast! They provided excellent communication, a delicious menu of coffee & great food to accommodate our guests 🙂 They provided a beautiful private room that comfortably fit our party! We are honored to have had such a special event here and can’t wait to go back! If you are looking for a family event, wedding shower baby shower or other special occasion this is a wonderful coffee shop for all!

My husband and I were kindly greeted by Lauren, the owner, right away. She was super nice, down to earth, and patient with us. I had the “Toast’d” & a macaroon which was delicious!! My husband had the Lucky Charms Cold Brew which was soooo good too! The cafe itself is so cute and very clean.

The place was clean and nice there is a small outdoor park for outdoor seating. The toilet was clean. I ordered oatmeal and was disappointed, it came cold and almost dry, it looked like it came from an instant oatmeal package. I asked the server at least 2x, 1 time to warm the oatmeal and second time to add hot water to it as the bottom dried up. I also ordered tomato soup and minutes later the server said, I will be refunded since they are out of the soup. The mocha was served warm, I was expecting a hot mocha for breakfast. I should say that the avocado toast was really good and different situations must have risen but this breakfast place could do better. I think this calls for better customer service ‘coz the server was kind of upset when I asked for hot water and reasoned out that the oatmeal was prepared with milk instead of apologizing for a very unsatisfactory oatmeal preparation. The receipt did not print. Sorry to say this but this ruined my impression. It sure is not the Ritz Carlton but could be better.

What an amazing establishment especially for a coffee shop. Love the atmosphere. Very spacious and clean. Coffee is smooth and delicious but the food is top notch. The avocado toast is spot on. Go for a single unless you have an appetite. I could taste every single ingredient and that’s rare to come across these days. Light and refreshing to say the least. Overall it is a place to come back too however the service could use a boost of excitement. I would recommend it for a light and refreshing morning start to your day.

Such a cute little spot! Coffees are great, açaí bowls are yummy. Love the everything bagel with garlic/herb smear (I think it’s Allouette or at least it tastes like it). Their Toast Magoats is a total MUST TRY! With places like this, why go to big chains…like STARBUTTS who????

Staff are very friendly and energetic, the food and coffee is tasteful, and the atmosphere is great! I had Lox on the Fox toast and a specialty iced coffee, 10/10 recommend Toast & Roast!

One of my fave cafes! They have such a large menu and the interior is just beautiful. The workers are kind and patient. The food is delicious. I recommend it to all my friends whenever they’re in the area.

Super clean I tried their Lox on the Fox, fig Toast and Pecan French toast as well as their signature sweet almond hot coffee. The French toast and Lox on the fox was great same with the coffee. The fig toast was good too just wished there was more fig jam but I thinks that’s a personal preference. The associates where nice store was clean plenty of seating in and outdoors.
