We found Toad Hollar after a visit to Loass Bluffs, and it will be a tradition! The food for breakfast was excellent! The hash browns in particular were amazing and completely unique. Almost like shaved potato strings.

Damn fine local bar and grill. A slight detour off of I-29 (<3 minutes) but well worth the stop. I really look forward to this place every duck hunting season. Best food, service, atmosphere and crowd I've seen here in many years. Try some local R/Farm bourbon while you're there. Keep it up TH team!!!

We went for a birthday dinner. Upon entering we noticed it was busy but not overflowing. When asked if we should seat ourselves or wait we were told to seat ourselves. There were four four top tables open. We chose one and sat down. Twice we asked for menus. After twenty five minutes we left with out contact, menus, water, anything we left. I would have left no stars but couldn’t have left this missive. Also. Went to Quackers and had the best steak I’d had in ages.

Toad holler is a quaint restaurant in the small town of Mound City Mo. It’s surrounded by parks and a golf course at the top of the Hill. The food is excellent just like home cooking , the service is fast and friendly, the atmosphere is country ,it also has a deck that you can eat on, on nice days.

Stopped here on the way to Kansas City. It is a little bit off the interstate, but maps was able to get us there. I pre-ordered pork tenderloins and fries. Fries were excellent! The pork tenderloin was very good too, but it was very thick. With the thick bun it was a lot to eat. Would go back.

Today, June 26th, 630 pm, was the worst service ever at this place!! I give this place a ton of my business (2-4 nights a week) but tonight was the last time. I got charged 20$ for 3 corn dogs and then I also ordered a chicken wrap that I never received. I called back to say I didn’t get my wrap and that they over charged me for the corn dogs and I got the rudest person ever that acted like it was my fault for their mistake. When I waited the 30 minutes that they told me it would take to fix the wrap, they hadn’t even started to fix it until I got there and was even more mad about it.. they finished cooking it and threw it on the counter and left without saying a word to me. I am absolutely upset at this behavior even if they were busy. Take ownership of your bad behavior people and apologize!!!

Waitress was kind of unfriendly. I was there mid afternoon, and there were only 2 others in there, and they were obviously regulars. They weren’t very friendly either. I have visited a lot of small towns in my driving career and have found people to be very friendly if not inquisitive towards me. I could tell that I didn’t quite fit the mold of their normal customers. I got the hot tenderloin, which I assumed was served on bread. It wasn’t. It was just a breaded tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy. No bread under it and no sides came with it. I will say that what was there was pretty good, a little lacking overall compared to what I have had in the past from other places.

This was a nice place to stop and have lunch. We were traveling and just did a search. It’s not far off the highway and worth it. Food was what you would expect, I got the ckn Ceasars wrap, could have used more dressing and the ckn was pretty charred. The place was full so locals do like it. I would try it again.

Loved sitting out back on the patio. Enjoying listening to the kids baseball game next door. Great service. Food took a little bit but it was a busy night. Overall pleasant experience.
