My friends and I often walk over during the farmers’ market and the lady working (owner I think but didn’t want to assume :)) is always so so sweet and patient with us while we juggle all our market purchases and try to decide about what to get. The pastries are very fresh and consistently good and the prices are extremely reasonable, many times cheaper than what they would have been in my home state 🙂

The best bakery hands down. Deliciousness abounds from small cakes, donuts, the danishes are to die for lol! Tari is always a friendly face and I love spending time talking when I can. Desserts, brownies I suggest ice cold milk on the side! You will not be disappointed.

Extremely friendly owners and great quality pastries. My only concern going in is if my favorite has sold out already or not! They do a lot of special orders as well as what they keep stocked for walk ins. Would definately recommend asking for a box and sampling some of each , especially the raspberry deserts.

I go to Kirksville all the time and we have never walked around the square and me and my daughter were walking around the square yesterday and seen this place and went in and this morning I am eating the most glorious lemon poppy seed muffin I have ever had served to me by the nicest sweetest lady

Every time I have ordered cakes or treats for special events not only are they amazingly delicious, they are beautiful also. She goes above and beyond to create great desserts! Our small town is lucky to have such a wonderful bakery.

I eat pastries from here every week at the BSU. They are so good! The staff is friendly and helpful when I go into the store. They answer all of our questions, and help us pick the best option for us. The prices are wonderful, and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing; the store smells delicious even when you’re wearing a mask. Prices (admittedly I have limited experience with bakeries) seem more than fair, especially for how great the food tastes!
I bought a pumpkin muffin last fall and still think about it. Biting into it was like getting a warm hug from all of your favorite childhood memories at once.
I recommend everything, but you NEED to get a muffin. She also sometimes makes these bacon cheddar rolls – if she has them, make sure to get one of those, too!

It smelled delicious walking in. I liked there was such a variety of baked goods to choose from. The apple filling was perfect, not overly sweet like the stuff from a can, you can tell it was home-made. I’m not a fudge fan but I bought some for my husband. I tried it, he was lucky he got a bite.
The owner told us to enjoy our treats but to watch out for the squirrel. Naturally we inquired further. She said there was a wild squirrel named Harold and Harold took scones to her babies. Just to look out for her as she might try to steal our treats! Even if the baked goods and candy weren’t yummy, I’d got back to check out Harold!

Love, love, love this place. From the crazy lady behind the counter that bakes from her heart to the all the delicious treats she makes. She has even went above and beyond for me when I could only have certain flours.

To Die for Bakery is a Kirksville staple. The muffins are so delicious and this place really sustained me through my time at Truman State University. Shout out to the owner who collaborates with the students and keeps them fueled for their studies and shenanigans 🙂
