Authentic Chinese skewers!! I always order with cold noodle and the sweet and sour fried pork. The vinegary cold noodle soup, sweet and crunchy fried pork, and tangy skewers together create a heavenly combination.

The bbq grill there is awesome. You can basically order any types of skewers and you won’t go wrong with your choices. It’s a little bit pricey, for example, $2.5 for a small beef skewer.

The warning is that 1) the restaurant is small so it filled up pretty quickly.
2) the skewers come out super slow. Beef and lamb skewers are quick but we waited 1 hr+ since we placed the order for the quail, tofu skin, etc. Even the appetizer took 45 min to be ready (!?). The fried pork tender (锅包肉) never came since we have to leave after spending 90 minutes at the restaurant, by that time, the fried pork tender was still not ready.

I was shocked at how bad they managed the order preparation process as the wait time for the food is insane. It’s definitely a waste of the chef’s talent and ingredients if they can’t find a way to improve the management.

We ordered some usual bbq skewers and tried one new dish – Guo bao rou (sweet sour double fried pork slice, I literally described it in English words) skewers are okay. But avoid this pork dish, way too hard to bite and chew, not crispy, just hard! They should remove this dish from the menu.

Good prices, good food. I personally recommend the lamb, beef (!!!), chicken skin, bacon wrapped mushrooms, intestines, and chicken gizzard if you aren’t afraid of that. For their dishes, I love the sweet fried pork. It’s so good when fresh, hot, and crispy. The service can get quite slow because they have so many takeout orders but I just love the beef skewers and sweet fried pork here.

Dined here on a workday night, we were the first customer. The food were very delicious and service was quick and good. Chicken skin and intestine were my favorites, they were both very crispy. The lamb and beef skewer were also very good. However the kidney was a little bit overcooked. Overall it was a great Chinese northern bbq place, would come again!

Authentic northeastern China BBQ – according to my Chinese friend. I was there on Friday lunch and it was not busy. I can see why they get bad service review – especially during dinner when they are very busy. We had no issue during the non busy lunch hour.

About the food. They offer variety of skewed BBQ items – good combination of meat and vegetable. They flavored with spice such as cumin, red pepper and etc. If you don’t like spices you should not try this place. I ordered beef, squid, green bean, and eggplants. They are flavored with the same spice and grilled – served on a tray. If you order more items, they may just get the skewers and put these on your tray. Just don’t be surprised ^_^
One way to order is to order a plain egg fried rice. Then order meat and vegetable to eat with it.

The service is good. It looks like it is a ma-and-pa shop with relatives helping out. So I don’t expect them to be professional. The are tentative once you sit at the table. They offers cold water in a glass reusable bottle for you. My mom won’t drink this, I know. So noted.

Overall, we had a good experiences at this place and will definitely go back here to try other dishes again.

It’s been great since they reduced salt in their recipes. Good BBQ and reasonable price compared to some of the hyped new restaurants. If you’re looking for some comfort food this is where to go.

There is very little intestine in the spicy and sour noodle with pork intestine(as in the picture), which costs $15.00. The intestine quality is bad as well. I talked to the boss and her attitude is like “it has been always like this”. One star for the food and attitude.

Authentic Chinese meat skewers. Not a fancy place. Lots of organ meats for the adventurous eater. The lamb is great – I recommend shaking some cumin on it. There are a few veggies available but the focus here is meat. Most dishes are strongly flavored and mildly spicy.
