The guacamole was so fresh and delicious!
Carne Asada was exquisite! From the Chimichurri sauce, refried beans, Sweet Corn Tamal, Rice and the Plaintains … literally everything was so flavorful and delicious!
We went on a Saturday and I could not understand why this place is not packed! It was so amazing that Guapos or Uncle Julio’s are no match for this restaurant!

Best authentic Mexican food we’ve found in Nova. Hands down. Mole perfect. Lengua perfect. Fried ice cream perfect! We order something different every time we visit and haven’t been disappointed.
Edit: also, loved the aguachile and chicken mole! The tortilla soup is rich and surprising! Lovely! This is artisanal Mexican food!

I ordered delivery through DoorDash. Delivery was prompt and the items were correct. The food was disappointing, to the point where it was inedible. I ordered tortilla soup which typically has beans, corn, etc, this was just broth? Then I ordered two different types of tacos. One was steak, which was very gross I had to throw out. The other was birria and just okay.

This was my first time coming in. I came in in the middle of day on a Thursday. It wasn’t busy, and there was no other customers at the time. I sat at the bar, and I was quickly served a water, given a menu and told of the specials. There was a gentleman serving at the bar and a waitress was also there. It was nicely decorated with plenty of places to sit inside and outside as well.
They gave me chips and salsa while I decided on what to get for lunch. I decided to get a rice bowl with carnitas as the protein.
While I was waiting for my rice bowl, I was eating the chips and salsa. I noticed that there was a bug in the salsa. I showed it to the waitress, and she said she didn’t think it was a bug. It looked an awful lot like a bug to me: it had a pale body with wings and antenna. She replaced my salsa, never giving me back the salsa bowl so I can take a picture and closer look. I didn’t think anymore of it. Now that I’m reading some of the previous reviews. I’m concerned that it was a nymph kitchen pest. Their health inspections mention kitchen pests quite a bit from routine to follow up inspections.
Anyways, I got my rice bowl. It was pretty good, though the portion was smaller than I expected. It was okay, a little bit too salty for me. Instead of tortilla strips, they had put chicharron pieces on top instead. I did study the menu a little bit because I was looking to order more food to take home, but had decided against it. They have a lot of different things on the menu that other people may like.
Pretty solid service and okay food. However, I will not be coming back due to a couple of concerns.

The server was absolutely amazing! We had the tamale sampler and loved it! She went out of her way to find us the hottest sauces to accommodate our palate. Food was delicious. Would recommend and bring family here.

We came in as a group of 11 at the last minute, and they accommodated us, including individual checks, amazing. The food was great. Everyone was still raving about it the next day. I had the carne asada, the sweet tamale was fantastic with the grilled meat, and I particularly loved the whole fried jalapeño.

Amazing food and service. Our drinks and chips were always filled. Food was outstanding, and the server was supper nice, polite, and welcoming. We’ve been eating here for the past 12 years and we still love it.
