Love stopping by here whenever we are in VT, the fried fish basket are always fresh and delicious. The fried mushrooms are fantastic.

Good fish and chips! TJ’s can get busy, but it’s worth waiting for. If you’re looking to fix your your fish fry craving, stop in. Don’t expect white tablecloths, though.

Huge portions and it was hot and super fresh. But after about 2 minutes of eating the fish and letting it cool it had a overwhelming iodine taste. Not sure if the fish is cod but I’ve never experienced this taste so strong.

After ordering we couldn’t even sit outside to wait for a food because there was a terrible odor of a dead animal. The prices are too high for the food. And the fish that was rather good last year and kept us coming back for more was more than disappointing.

Very very good! Fisherman’s Platter was super fresh and perfectly cooked. Great value. Staff is friendly, from the owner to the cooks.
I’ll be sure to return.

Generous portion of deliciously fried fish fry. Also tried the fried mushrooms for $4.50. Very generous portion for the price and very yummy! Neither the fish fry nor the mushrooms were greasy on any way!

I wish to eat here someday. TJ know I want to go there badly but it’s a 27-30 hour drive (1100-1200 miles) north from here. The food he post on Facebook looks delicious and it’s conveniently located near the heart of Bennington, within walkable distance from Gamer Grotto, FIddlehead, & South Street Cafe.
With construction going on if I understand right over on the old Greenburg lot, I hope the construction workers will stop here to eat when they go on their lunch break.
I don’t care what the results were on the game show he was on at the Food Network, he’ll always be a champion to me as he was representing for Bennington, VT. Hopefully I’ll get to see you the next time I’m in the area. 😀
