Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon and there we just a few customers. I sat at the bar which was unusually high and made it a little uncomfortable eating lunch. There were plenty of tables available but I chose the bar. Their BLT sandwich was pretty good. The bacon was the thick cut and cooked just right for a sandwich. The cooked cinnamon apples were a fantastic side dish. The decor was rustic and not overdone. Their bar selection is very limited but okay. They also have a few pool tables.

We had a large order of just smash burgers and fries. All of our orders were messed up. The wait staff was rude. They charged us for bacon we did not receive TWICE. Even after going back to have them fix our order, it was still incorrect. After having a great experience our first time, the second time disappointed us. We will be reconsidering taking our business back to an establishment that cannot handle large orders, charges for items you don’t receive, and then is rude to patrons.

We decided to eat here one morning hoping they offered something without eggs for my son who can’t eat them. We made a point to ask before we sat down and the staff promised that there were a lot of egg free options. The only egg free options were pancakes or biscuits and gravy. So he went for the biscuits and gravy and I had the loaded biscuits and gravy. After a few bites each we asked for a box to take the rest home as neither one of us were happy with them.
The staff was more interested in sitting at the bar talking than checking up on us, the only customers in there at 930 am.

Went there for the first time this evening for dinner with my boyfriend we got the chicken tenders with fries absolutely amazing !!!! Will be going back and I love the fact that they stay open later where as nothing else does in fayette . Wait staff was great atmosphere was awesome .

During a recent visit to TJ’s for takeout, especially amidst the morning rush, I made a few observations that could help in enhancing the overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The town of Fayette, with its population of over 3,000, naturally brings a bustling crowd to TJ’s, particularly during peak hours. This seems to somewhat overwhelm the current setup. The staff, although evidently hardworking, appeared to be undertrained for the high demand of the morning rush. This is not a slight on their capabilities but an indication that additional training or support could be beneficial.
A significant bottleneck was the single cash register in use. It was evident that the staff were cramped, waiting in line to place orders, which inadvertently slowed down the service. Considering the volume of customers, introducing at least one more register could substantially streamline the process, leading to quicker service and a more organized workflow.
These observations are meant to provide constructive feedback to the management of TJ’s. Enhancing the work process and flow, particularly during the morning rush, can not only improve the experience for customers but also create a more manageable environment for the staff. With a few strategic changes, I believe TJ’s can better handle the bustling demand and continue to be a favored spot in Fayette.
