Real authentic Tijuana Style Tacos! The carne asada (steak) tacos you get on the street in Tijuana, Rosarito, or Ensenada are pretty simple. Generally it’s grilled steak, a hot salsa, creamy avocado, and chopped white onion and cilantro on a home made corn tortilla. It might be simple, but it’s a special combination of flavors. I’ve tried to recreate it as much as possible. This is pretty close. Like most great street food, it’s also about the experience of the location.

Overall a great experience with good tacos. I ordered 3 Carne Asada Tacos for $3.75 each. They were filled with plenty of meat, really well seasoned, salty, and warm. I had mine come with onions cilantro and guacamole.

My only critique of the asada tacos is of the guacamole. It was fine, it didn’t make the tacos worse, but it didn’t make them any better. It’s more like a light and cool avocado cream, somewhat akin to sour cream if it wasn’t sour. Maybe it would be good to get if you balance out with hot salsa, or if you just want a less dry taco. Still good, but I wish there was an option for a stronger guacomole. I also had to scoop some out of a taco as i couldn’t pick it up without it spilling everywhere.

The birria tacos were good, but there a touch to cinnamon like for my taste, which is more of a personal preference.

As a side note, I’ve seen in other reviews that there nachos are just tostitos chips. Its a shame because if the business would make their own tortilla chips and make actual nachos I would have ordered it!

Maybe I’m biased from living in San Diego, but this was really NOT good. The tacos needed salt and the pico/salsa they put on top of flavorless. The chips they use are just store-purchased chips…nothing authentic. Chicken was dry and didn’t look like any chicken I’ve ever seen in a taco. Birria taco was so soggy and gross. The carne asada has a nice flavor and the vampiro was good, but that’s it…it’s the only thing giving this place 3 stars. Staff was not friendly.

Hands down one of the best taco spots in Duluth! The tortillas taste fresh, the fillings are seasoned perfectly, and the salsa has the right kick without overpowering the flavors. I especially loved the carne asada tacos — juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The service was quick and friendly, and the vibe inside is cozy but lively, making it a great spot for both a casual lunch and a fun dinner with friends. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely my new go-to taco place in Gwinnett!

If you’re looking for great Tijuana-style tacos in Duluth, TJ Street Taco is worth checking out. The food is super fresh! The carne asada has a nice char and tons of flavor. I tried the steak tacos, a quesadilla, and a vampiro, and everything was really tasty. The salsas are great too, and they bring bottles to the table so you can add as much as you want. Portions are generous, prices are fair, I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Love their tacos and nachos! Thinking about grabbing another bite soon! The only thing is it takes a while before order comes but it’s understandable because they make it fresh.

We saw this place advertised all over TikTok and decided to stop by to try a taco. We ordered two carne asada tacos and a mango drink.

Unfortunately, the tacos were disappointing. The tortillas appeared to be store-bought street-style tortillas, were soggy, and had black grill marks that gave off a burnt taste. The carne asada itself was bland, and there was very little meat. They did offer four different salsas, which was a nice touch, but it wasn’t enough to save the tacos. My boyfriend rated this as the worst taco he’s ever had and couldn’t even finish a bite.

The service was okay. The tacos took about 10–15 minutes to come out despite there being no one else in the store, which was surprising for such a simple order.

The mango drink tasted good at first, but after a while it developed an off taste — almost as if the drink machine isn’t cleaned as thoroughly as it should be.

Overall, we feel we fell into the hype. With a B rating in restaurant cleanliness (per the health inspector) and a 1/10 experience for us, we won’t be returning. Try at your own risk — it’s your money.

My wife told me about a Tick Tock video she on this place and we were visiting the Southeastern Train Museum and were craving good authentic tacos. Reminds me of a taqueria in Mexico with the subway tiles and the coca cola theming. The carne asada and adobada tacos were so good.

I tried the asada and adobada tacos, and I can tell you the tacos are delicious! Better than I expected. Saw them on TikTok and drove from 2 hours away! Definitely worth the drive!
Asada 10/10
adobada 7/10 (I’m picky about the adobada but it was still pretty good!)
