I think the biggest thing for us is they just need more staff. Our waitress is very nice when we did get to see her.
The back of the house people are good and professional, however. The girls that are in the front of the house will go out of their way to disrespect and make your experience horrible. It’s shocking, after 20+ years of experience in the service industry I’ve never been so disrespected.
Again, first disrespected with tone and a attitude and made to feel dumb at Tipsy Tina’s, then doubly so if you see the staff at any place outside of the establishment. Not to mention, that they will be on their phones the majority of the time, even sitting down while doing so.
In my opinion, service should be without negative connotation. Unfortunately, there’s girls there that will be overtly disrespectful to you, especially if you are by yourself. I assume (based on their actions and words and actions) that they believe that you are an annoying thing that they have to deal with, again, I’ve never seen such an unprofessional employee at any establishment ever.
For example, I sat at the bar for dinner and a couple of drinks. This specific female employee was sitting at the bar, on thier phone, and gave me the overt impression that I was an annoying inconvenience simply for ordering food and seeking conversation. To me it was shocking, especially given the extensive experience that I’ve had in the service industry before my current success in another field.
I ran into this individual while with a friend ( not intending too, and frankly, after the negative experience I had before, she was the last person that I wanted to see), and after seeing them they overtly said ” go away “. Again, I was with a friend, and happened to be so unfortunate as to run into her after she got off of work.
In the end, the conclusion I’ve come to, is that it is not worth interacting with this “employee”. If you’re unfortunate enough to be there while she is there you’ll know, she’ll be sitting at the bar on her phone.
I was checking this place out for a 20+ person monthly party, and based on her completely unprofessional behavior we’ll be going to Ledbellies instead, where we are treated like people and not made to feel like inconvenient scum.
In conclusion, I want to be clear that most of the employees are very good and professional, but there’s one that’s so bad that they have an outsized effect on my , and potentially your experience. Go to ledbellies across the street until this walking harassment of an “employee” is fired.
Another Date Night on a budget. Taco Style.
Luckily we were seated right away, I think it’s the first time we didn’t have to wait. Our server was over within a couple of minutes. Started with Chips and Mild Salsa which, to me, still had a bit of a kick. My husband totally disagreed . Chips were super fresh.
I already knew I wanted a Tostada, sub black beans, chose the Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette to top. It is probably my favorite thing here. Also a yummy Fish Taco. I don’t like Chipotle flavor but figured out the Creamy Cilantro sauce pairs well with it instead.
He usually tries out the weekly taco special, this time being Buffalo Chx Dip with melted cheddar and Cilantro. Also went with the Pollo Asada and his favorite the Memphis which is like a BBQ Brisket deal. He said the 2 chicken tacos were a tad on the dry side but really liked the accompaniments. Totally loved the Brisket like always.
I don’t know if it was cuz we were slightly later than usual or what but our food came out sooooooo quickly! My substitutions were correct. Toppings were very generous. Our server Emma was attentive and friendly! We were in and out in a flash. Great dinner!

We went to Tipsy Tina’s and were seated right away. Drink order was taken quickly and my husband had to get his favorite Mango Habanero Salsa and chips. Waaaaaaaay too spicy for me but he loves it .
He ordered 2 tacos. The Carnitas with pickled onions and jalapeños and the weekly special which featured Barbacoa, cheddar, that spicy salsa, pineapple, and onions. Man, he loves the spicy stuff! Both disappeared quickly.
I got a Tostada, sub black beans, which came out normal the first time and sans sour cream the second time so I just went with it. The Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette is so good. I also had a Fish Taco, sub Creamy Cilantro for the Chipotle sauce. It needed remade as well but that creamy sauce is Delicious! Lastly a Breakfast Fajita Taco with Extra Egg instead of Steak. This one was super hooked up and I’d totally order them all again.
Didn’t have time for an after dinner Margarita but there’s always next time!
The margaritas were great
