I honestly can’t speak to the quality of the food here. But the restaurant itself was clean. Myself and my friend arrived for lunch the Sunday of the Appalachian Trail Days Fest last May. Not another soul in the place and now I see why. The waitress was friendly and promptly handed out the menus. We asked about the beer selections but she said she didn’t drink and couldn’t tell us about the selections. Fair enough. We ordered a couple of familiar choices. Never saw our waitress again, 10 or 15 minutes and we were ghosted. Another Diner arrived and only then did we see her spring into action. Took their drink and food order and had their drinks served promptly. We took that as our sign to leave and eat elsewhere. I’m not sure why she ghosted us, but it seems we were judged and dismissed. Rude. We walked out without being served, went to the Damascus Diner which was PACKED (and i now see why). Still, we received prompt and courteous service, and left a big tip.

The place was very clean and tidy. There was only 1 other person dining. Service was great. I ordered my smash burger with no onions. Thankfully they got my order wrong because the onions and pickles were the only thing that gave my burger any flavor. The meat was plain with no seasoning. My husband ordered the bear burger and he said it was mediocre at best. He said that the pepper jack cheese is what gave his burger flavor. He also ordered a side of coleslaw and it was made with way too much vinegar and our tater tots were a little too overcooked. The atmosphere was rather okay only if they would decide what they wanted to have us listen to. At one point we were listen to Whiskey Glasses being played from the TV, grunge music and cussing conversation coming from the kitchen. Thank you for the great service tonight but, probably won’t be coming back.

We stopped here on our way into Damascus for dinner. My wife ordered a pizza and she said it was good. I ordered a “smash burger”. Everyone knows what a smash burger is, and that’s what I was expecting. However when it come out, it wasn’t a smash burger. It was some pre-packaged frozen patty. It wasn’t bad but definitely not a smash burger. I was disappointed in that. The service was good though!

Visited this spot on my birthday getaway from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Visited on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was lively as the band was getting set up to play. Ordered pizza and salad. The pizza was delicious. The crust is super soft and delicious. The service was great. The employees were working hard to take care of their customers. Recommend this spot if you’re in Damascus.

Food was not only wrong, but burnt. Shocked they would serve something that looks like this. Additionally, one of the stalls in the bathroom didn’t have a lock.

Went to The Tipsy Bear on Saturday and if there was one place in Damascus that knows how to have a good time it is definitely this place. Getting to know the owners Luke and Danica made the experience even better. It felt like a family get together and the live music was amazing. As someone who grew up close to new haven (Good Pizza) I would give them another star. The crust was personally a highlight for me. Please help The Tipsy Bear grow into the Damascus staple it deserves to be!

We’ve been multiple times and we can’t recommend the Tipsy Bear enough! The w a.p burgers are good and reasonably priced. The wings are HUGE with good sauce selection. Our kids love the chicken tenders and the pizza. Karaoke on Friday nights is a blast, and when they have music it’s always great.

Just a really good place to grab a good meal with great atmosphere.
