Best of Erie Coffee Shop Winner 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024! We serve high quality, in-house roasted coffee, and locally sourced tea. We have a variety of non coffee beverages also including matcha and other tea lattes, frappes, smoothies and quenchers. All food is made in-house as well and we offer many gluten free and vegan options. Choose from soups, quiche, scones, biscotti, cookies, pastries, and cakes. In our grab and go cooler you’ll find wraps, sandwiches, Mac and cheese, hummus, veggies and more. Stay for awhile and enjoy the monthly art gallery and chalk mural wall, or if the weather’s nice, relax on our outdoor patio. Bring along your fur-babies and hangout in the fenced backyard!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars: Tipsy Bean Cafe – A Hippy Hill Gem!
Tipsy Bean Cafe is exactly the kind of local spot I love finding in a cultural hub. Located right along Hippy Hill, the vibe is cozy, creative, and completely welcoming—from the colorful exterior mural to the chalk wall showing off their specials.
What I Loved:
The Coffee: I had their specialty Nutella Latte (the Nutella Mocha Latte, really!) and it was perfectly balanced—rich, sweet, and with that extra hazelnut boost I asked for. A truly indulgent drink!
The Food: I enjoyed the homemade Crustless Spinach and Swiss Quiche on site. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect homemade bite.
The Soup: Since the weather is getting cold, I took home a bowl of the Rustic Chicken Soup. It’s clear everything here is made from scratch with quality ingredients—this soup will be perfect for a cozy night in.
The Service: The staff was incredible! They were super friendly, helpful, and even took the time to snap a photo of me, which made the whole experience feel personal.
Bonus Points: I love that they have a loyalty program! I’m already looking forward to earning my next free drink with their point system.

This is truly an amazing coffee shop! The owner is incredible, very friendly and kind! All of the staff that I have met were extremely helpful and thoughtful.
I am from almost an hour away and anytime that I am in town. I make it a point to stop in and get an amazing latte and an incredible piece of their blueberry crumble.

The homemade soups, breakfast wraps, desserts and pastries are what keep me coming back to the Tipsy Bean!! The wonderful family owned atmosphere is so cozy and comforting and makes the perfect place to hangout and get some schoolwork done! I even got to see a behind the scenes of how they make their homemade almond biscotti!! Their cornbread biscotti in my opinion is the perfect addition to their flavorful and DELICIOUS homemade soups to warm up in this frigid Erie winter weather!

What an amazing place! They had so much to offer! Breakfast quiche, oatmeal, sweet treats, and lots more. Lots of gluten free also! We tried the biscotti and honeycomb cake. Both were soo good! We also had the quiche (crustless and gluten free). It may have been the best quiche we have ever had.

Always a personalized experience! Lattes my fiancé and I were given shortly after our engagement. The baristas are friendly. The in-house roasted beans make the best coffee in town! Flavor syrups are also homemade and their taste shows.
Every item for purchase is made by the owner from scratch with love and local ingredients!

The coffee is so good came back a second time! They make their own syrups & the food was also super yummy! We got the quiche, oatmeal, & biscotti. I would recommend all of the things we got!

The coffee is great and what you would expect from an independently owned coffee shop. The baristas were also great because they suggested oat milk instead of regular milk and it made the taste of my mocha even better. My coffee could have been a little bit warmer. I also got a lavender shortbread cookie that was absolute heaven! It was perfect. My mom had soup which she liked. I didn’t see where there were any sandwiches – we had come here for lunch, and I’m not a quiche person so I stuck with the cookie. It had a very comfortable, cozy vibe. I really liked how they have a small lot off of the one-way street. There is a bit g step up, though, so if you have mobility issues the handicap accessible entrance is directly in front of the restaurant.
