You know that scene in Ratatouille at the end of the movie when the big food critic takes a bite and gets that flashback to his childhood? That warm, comforted, happy feeling? That’s exactly how this food made me feel.
It was hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life. Every bite tasted like real family, home-cooked love not just restaurant food.
The service was incredible. The woman there packed up my leftovers for me (something even a lot of “nice” restaurants don’t do), opened the door when I left, and even offered to let me borrow an umbrella because it was still raining.
If you want authentic, family-style Thai food that makes you feel something, this is the spot.
100/10 experience.
The Wings of Angel were exceptional. The batter nice and crispy and they came out HOT.
The pickled cucumbers are nice and slightly crunchy with a flavor similar to cole slaw (minus the mayo).
We were n town and stopped by because of the good reviews. But the food we ordered was mediocre. We ordered paht Thai, paht see ew and a side of pickled cucumbers. Very simple food with not much ingredients or flavor and no heat at all, plus no chili paste offered to us. I just don’t see how people can rate the food so high. They must have never experienced Thai food anyplace else.
The portions are small for the price, which the server warned us about, but I thought the quality would be higher. She didn’t seem happy that we didn’t want an order for each person in our group (three young kids, 2 adults). The Thai iced tea was good.
The sodas are served in a can even though the menu makes it seem like they are fountain drinks.
There was no one else in the small eatery during lunch hours. Maybe it’s mostly to-go orders?
There is a $20 minimum order if you want to use credit cards. There is metered street parking.
Very veryyyyy clean! Really clean tile floor and I really like the photography around the walls and plants c:
We ordered two Thai teas, pad see shrimp, tum yum shrimp, and massaman curry with tofu. Had to order 2 “large” orders of rice separately cause none of the dishes come with rice.
The steamed rice servings were very small. One large serving is these small scoops of white rice. So one real scoop of rice. Felt kinda cheated here tbvh haha
Pad see was bomb! Everything was cooked very well! No complaints really!!!
massaman curry was thick and yummy as well as the tofu being fried just enough! I, personally, don’t get raw bell pepper on top or finely chopped peanut when I order this dish in other places. Although I enjoyed the new experience with the bell pepper, wasn’t really able to get a good taste of the peanuts when it’s done this way, which I’m not a fan of cause I love having that certain texture when eating this dish. Regardless the dish was really great, would prob try a different curry next time.
The soup looked amazing. All the spices were there, very flavorful but there was no salt so it was lackin sadly. But woooo if it had the pinch of salt when cookin it would be really amazing.
Serving size and price was a miss for me but regardless I recommend!
Overall food was okay
