Laid back, welcoming. Love the cabin feel of the place. The pool seemed clean enough, false grass patio. Bathrooms were clean. Love the cabin rentals, we stayed in 37, best view of the mountain. Can’t wait to go back

We stayed at Devil’s Backbone Campground and ate at Tipple Tavern on our first night. It was ok. We weren’t impressed but weren’t necessarily disappointed. A few nights later we went back and had excellent service, food, and drinks! Morgan was our server/bartender on Saturday night and made me a pomegranate margarita that was absolutely amazing!! I recommend if your in the area to stop! You can access the restaurant, which has a pool on site, right from trail 59 of Devil’s Anse!

Our food was good, however, the service was TERRIBLE! Make sure you DON’T get seated in Katelyn’s section. We waited over 10 minutes for refills and when our food finally arrived the chicken tenders and fries were warm not hot which was very surprising since it wasn’t busy, (I’m assuming) b/c she was MIA for so long, we literally watched her chit-chatting at the bar and in the (I assume) kitchen area.

The food was tasty but very overpriced, in my opinion. I paid $40 for a salad and an appetizer. The servers were friendly. But the chef was rude. She came out of the kitchen after I ate but before I paid my bill to ask me to move from a larger table to a smaller one. The restaurant has six 8-top tables and two 4-top tables. Most of them were empty. There was no host seating people so it was not clear where to sit. The chef said that they need the table for other large parties. However, there were 4 or 5 other large tables empty and it was late in the evening. The chef also asked the live music to turn the volume down 3 times. Overall, just made me uncomfortable.

We were first timers to Devil’s Backbone Adventure Resort and the Tipple Tavern. The food was decent, but it is a little pricey. Burgers were expensive and so was the pizza. Our group of 4 was considered a “large party”, so each of our bills were automatically gratuified at +20%. Bad move on their part. I don’t tip extra when you tell me how much I have to tip! Captive audience restaurant because there’s nothing else around for nearly 10 miles or so.

Had a good experience the past couple times but not this time. Food was over cooked. Chicken was pretty much no chicken left from the fryer. Prices are very high. Yes I know everything has went up but they are definitely higher then what it should be.

Good food, friendly service, love that the bar/restaurant is right at the pool, perfect to go for a little swim then grab something to eat! Cobb salad was huge , had grilled chicken with fresh veggies and greens. Devil Anse Angus burger my fiancé had said it was juicy and really tasty!

Great spot to stop at while trail riding or just look for a good food. Sidewinder fries are a must-have.
