I love diners and this is now my go to place when in Charlottesville.

The food was well made and plentiful. The service was the fastest I have ever seen. I was still thinking about what to order and it was already at my table.

One of the top 3 diners that I have visited.

1/29/26 Update – Another great breakfast! It looks like I ordered the same thing again. You can’t go wrong with the classics.

Came here for breakfast with my wife and enjoyed our experience here. The menu has a lot of good options and the portion sizes were very big, I could barely finish my meal. I particularly liked the corned beef hash, which you don’t often see on menus so I had to get it. The eggs were eggs (hard to mess up) and the home fries were good too. It has an old timer diner feel that I enjoyed as well. Would recommend coming here if you’re in the area, especially for breakfast

Starting the day with a full slate of adventures means you’ve got to get fueled, and this place was a fantastic find. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was how incredibly well the operation runs. They have it down to a science, getting people in and out efficiently without ever making you feel rushed.

The service was warm, attentive, and seamless from start to finish. It’s no surprise to see so many awards lining the walls. A western omelet and an order of biscuits and gravy both hit the spot and were exactly what we needed to kick off the day.

An outstanding breakfast stop and absolutely worth checking out.

No-frills American diner after my own heart. Went here for breakfast and piled the table with waffles, biscuits and gravy, grits, pancakes, french toast, sausage, bacon, eggs… and of course lots of drip coffee. Waitress was great even though the place was slammed. Would definitely come back here for some classic southern charm.

I should have gotten breakfast.

The onion rings were room temperature onion slices wrapped in undercooked batter and grease ooze.

The hamburger was warm and tasty and my wife’s pasta was hot and delicious.
Service was about what I expect from a ‘one hit wonder’ place…couldn’t have cared less if anything was off or if we were alive or not.

I understand this place wins all sorts of awards…wish those workers had been on duty when we were there…maybe I wouldn’t be regretting not having had breakfast at 630pm.

Popular local family restaurant. Very busy, but they are cranking food out like clockwork! Basic diner-style food. Not a huge menu selection, but they do good with what they offer. Friendly staff. Lot of parking in the back, but don’t be dismayed if you have to wait a little bit…you’ll get in pretty quick. It’s noisy, but you can tell everyone is happily chatting.

Fun restaurant to visit. Nice, bright and well maintained. You can order breakfast all day so naturally we ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon. Service is friendly and fairly quick. Also had a chef salad which was very fresh and amply sized. Bacon was a little skimpy but tasty. Also had a toasted Genoa salami sub, while decent, wasn’t thoroughly toasted. Depute the minor nitpicks this is a great restaurant and will return.

It is a little difficult to find if you’ve never been here before. If you are heading West, it is immediately after the Carmax. Parking up front seems to be taken most of the time but there is plenty more parking in the back. This is a popular local restaurant so you may need to be patient if visiting during peak times.

Great spot. Comfortable and homey. Large and varied menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Eclectic American cuisine with heavy Italian influences. Marinara is homemade and pretty darn good.
