In a town awash in Mexican restaurants, Tio Juan has its own great taste, fabulous service, and laid-back atmosphere. Their street tacos are amazing, as is their salsa (perfectly spicy) & not-too-thick chips. I like their chicken burrito and enchiladas too.

It’s a clean friendly atmosphere. Food is AMAZING! It’s a family run restaurant that has ALL the Mexican classics and some more modern stuff. Only closed on Tuesday. WOULD recommend. I eat lunch there whenever I’m in Decatur!!!!

Amazing! The Happy Plate made my heart happy! Seriously, accommodated the fact my dog was with us as we traveled so they let us bring him onto the patio. The golden texas margarita was delicious! Hubs got a half order of nachos that literally covered his plate. Cheese dip was perfect as was the salsa. I’ll definitely come back anytime I am close! Exceptional food and service. It’s very authentic Mexican cooking. I have patronized this restaurant many times and consistency is always present.
My favorite item is the poblano pepper stuffed with spinach and cheese.Its perfectly fried and absolutely delectable
They have the whole fish (crappie)fried to perfection and presented with copious amounts of sliced limes. FABULOUS. The plate also comes with slice avocado refried beans and pico de guyo.
I closed my eyes and thought I had been transformed to Cabos in the Baja.

The only reason i put three stars was the service, i got the steak and rice and the great thing was they gave ALOT of steak. It was more steak than rice but the meat was TERRIBLE. It had no seasoning, no taste or anything. If it was seasoned i would give five stars because of the amount of steak and how nice the people were. I am willing to give another chance tho because they are worth a second chance

Popular hangout with the locals. I went on a Monday evening and the place was filled with the smiles and chit chat of couples, families, and friends. I fully enjoyed the Tamale Dinner combo with a 1/2 order of Nachos Mexicanos (this was still a full plate!). They have excellent queso dip and warm chips to start your meal. Thank you!
