This place was very welcoming comfortable place to eat with a in touch with the customer feel
I had the chicken fajita tacos with rice and beans with a chicken enchilada and guacamole and i washed it down with a cup of horchata the horchata was very good it was my first time trying and also a sweet tea the sweet tea was top tier

Got chicken + cheese enchilada plates and fried mushrooms.
For the price I would expect better food, you can get a better tasting enchilada plate at united super market.
I’m honestly not sure if they even cook the food there, the beans and rice tasted store bought / frozen/canned. Definitely not fresh.
The chicken enchiladas had no filling and where cold not 5 minutes after getting them. I realize I got them takeout but if they cant stay hot for a 3 block drive they weren’t hot in the first place.

Amazing! Had came over last minute after being ignored at a different restaurant and they took us at about 8pm. There was live music playing..very lively and the waitress was very attentive and kind. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were amazing and the fries pickles were good too.

I’ve only been here twice both times I got cheese enchiladas the 1st time they were perfect the 2nd time it was WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH CHILI POWDER! It tasted like I was eating a bowl of chill not cheese enchiladas I hope they fix this issue because they do have great food unfortunately we all have off days when we don’t make great food. Thank you for the great food & always being very kind when I have gone into eat. Like I said the food was still great just way too much chili in the sauce I ordered cheese enchiladas not enchiladas chili which is what I ended up with & put alot less sauce next time we don’t want sauce we want the cheese!!

Went there with my 3 kiddos to have lunch after a long day. My daughter 8 years old order carne asada tacos and the meat was way too big for her to even eat it. Plus the meat was way too hard and chewy, we had to pick the softest pieces and they were not a lot. The plate came with 3 tacos we made half a taco with what we could find the softest for her the chew. I order the same thing and the meat was also the same way, lots of hard parts and very chewy. Payed over $70 and the food was not it.

Menudo has no flavor at all. I added the onions so I really only tasted the onions. Taco were good but would not recommend the menudo. Menudo has a shrimp boil smell. Only took 2 bites.

If you’re looking for disappointment served cold with a side of regret, Tío Gordo is the place for you. I came in with hope and an appetite — I’m leaving with neither. The service moved at glacial speed, the food tasted like it lost a fight with a microwave, and the atmosphere screamed “we gave up.” My taste buds are currently filing a lawsuit. Avoid at all costs — unless you’re into culinary punishment.

They use fake cheese on the nachos. Not shredded. Too many mushy beans on them so everything turned to mush. Terrible. Music toooo loud. And then the tvs are also on making it even more loud. Not relaxing at all.

Brutally being honest, their food taste like they can’t taste salt. Their staff is rude if you ask them for condiments or anything else. My lady just asked for an item and got told with an attitude ” if i give you anymore I’m gonna charge you” like as if nobody knows that things arent free. In my opinion this place is not worth coming to. Atmosphere seems okay if you dont talk to anyone or ask questions.

Tio Gordo’s Texican Cafe is my family’s favorite we get the usual Street Taco plate witch is amazing!!! The new expansion was much needed now it’s not so crowded. They have Great staff they are very friendly and the Chips and Queso with ground beef is amazing, though I’m not sure it’s on the menu you have to ask for it.
