Went to tinsels for the second time and was not disappointed. The owner is a Very nice person and a very good chef. Had some lovely clams to start and a massive squid and prawn skewer for the main plus, he cooked some lovely pastel de natas which were exceptional. Shame it’s closing in September but if you get the chance before then I would highly recommend it.

Amazing food. Flavio was absolutely amazing. He opened the restaurant just for us. We started our experience with an amazing chat, everything was cooked from fresh, the food was absolutely delicious, the best seafood I had. The homemade stock used to cook the seafood was 10/10 soo much flavour, soo good we asked for some to take away.
If I could give him more than 5 stars I would.
Honestly the best restaurant in Grantham. I would happily travel hours for this restaurant. If you are around this restaurant is a MUST. Gluten free, Halal and alcohol free options available.

If you are in Grantham, you must find this place.
The owner is fantastic—funny, warm, and accommodating. He told us his view is that “his house is your house,” and I felt that welcome instantly.
The food is absolutely genuine. Having spent special times in the Algarve, I can say this chef knows exactly what he is doing. I had the salted cod croquettes and the clams with potato wedges, and both were superb. Everything is cooked fresh (no frozen shortcuts here), which means you might wait a little longer, but the quality is worth every second.
From Michelin stars to street food, I’ve tried it all, and this ranks very highly. Make the detour, try new things, and enjoy a fantastic meal.
If you see a dish on the menu that you really want, then order ahead. Talking to the other diners it seems to have a very loyal following, which I can understand.

A fantastic meal cooked with love by the brilliant Flávio. You know how some restaurants are supposed to remind you of that perfect holiday? Well Tinel does that – it’s like the best harbourside restaurant in a little Algarve fishing village. All the fish and shellfish are super fresh and perfectly cooked. The flavours are deep and intense, and the presentation is simple because such good food doesn’t need messing about with. Will definitely return.

Every time I eat here I am amazed by the culinary magic of the chef. He pours his heart and soul into each dish and his passion for delicious flavours, quality ingredients and providing mouthwatering meals is outstanding.
He creates his own marinaded olives which are quite simply the best our party had ever tasted. The moules were outstanding and everyone enjoyed drenching the crispy chips in the sauce. Sea bass was perfectly cooked; tender with a crispy skin.
If you want outstanding food that will be part of the memory of your night out, then Tinel is the only place to go.
