The food comes out after 10-15 minutes (cooked to order, plainly). Plenty of chicken in the tamales. We enjoyed the pupusas. Friendly service, but was quite warm inside (only about 75 degrees outside), so maybe better-suited to take-out than dine-in.

Over the past 48 years, I’ve eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. Food has ranged from great to awful. Tina’s Tamales has upset my scale for great Mexican food.

That being said, I have never experienced a restaurant that feels like you are in abuela’s kitchen. Everything we ordered came out as if we were in Tina’s home kitchen. The chips and guacamole? Made that day. The quesadilla, tacos, and pupusa? Stuffed full of handmade love.

I happened upon this place while traveling to Death Valley, but it really is a destination in itself. If you live in Las Vegas, take the trip out here. The food is not only fresh, but clearly made to an entirely different standard than the food in Las Vegas. I’ve rarely felt like I was invited into a chef’s kitchen like I was at Tina’s.

There’s limited seating inside the store (maybe 6 chairs) so come early or plan to takeaway. I live in a major city with all sorts of authentic restaurants. I can’t think of a place that will replace, or replicate, the experience I had at Tina’s. It’s so fresh and well done.

Do yourself a favor and stop here on your trip to Death Valley. If you live in Las Vegas, drive out on a Saturday and tell me I’m wrong.

What a lovely family-owned restaurant – the service was incredible and the food was even better! We had a tamale special – a dozen tamales for $30 – what a deal! Delicious!

We were driving to Death Valley and wanted to stop for food before. The place is open from the morning, and the food is fresh and handmade. We ate almost their entire menu. Every dish was delicious! ❤️ We ate a sandwich of tortas with beef – filled to the brim, pupusas with cheese and beans, which stole my heart, and two types of delicate tamales. I remembered pupusas so much that we had to do extra time on the way back. This time, in addition to pupusas, we tried a set of tacos and a delicious, delicate flan for dessert. Service 10/10, super nice people running the place and taking care of every detail. Prices are even too low comparing to food quality. If I didn’t have to leave, I would eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there tomorrow. ❤️ I will dream about pupusas and green tomato salsa at night. Must have to visit!!!!

Went for a day trip to Ash Meadows and needed a quick recharge before driving back to LV. Stopped at Tina’s on a whim and boy am I glad I did! Chicharron pupusa, Honduran tamal (pork), and quesabirria street taco all for $10. The flavors were unbelievable, and the service from the family was top notch. Be sure to stop by when you’re in Pahrump!

Right when I walked in 4 people greeted me and told me hello. After promptly taking my order they prepared my delicious food within 10 minutes. The little lady Tina was so kind and welcoming. And the food was so delicious. I never leave reviews and felt like I had to with this one. I will definitely be going out of my way to come back again.

Found this gem while passing through town. THE BEST food and service, I was so sad to not be able to return the following day like I had hoped. Had tacos, tamales and pupusa! Fresh and tasty I’m still dreaming about it all. If I’m ever in Pahrump again it’s my first stop!
