The lunch specials are now $10.95 from 11am – 6pm. We ordered a scrambled egg with shrimp, pea sprouts in broth, salt and pepper pork chop, hand shredded brown chicken and steam black cod with black soy beans. All the dishes were tasty and portions were generous. It comes with a big bowl of soup of the day and a big tub of long grain jasmine white rice. We arrived 5-7 minutes after they opened, the restaurant is already half full on Saturday. The restaurant is understaffed, we ask for a glass of ice water, it did not come until there were other tables that ordered similar items where the waitress eventually brought our ice water. The dishes also come in batches as well after we ordered. The 1st dish that came was the salt and pepper pork chops, since there about 5-6 tables ordered a similar item. The second dish that came was the scrambled egg with shrimp. We saw the waiter carrying 4 plates of the same scrambled egg with shrimp and distributing it to the table around us. While we were eating there were lots of customers coming in or calling in for placing to-go orders. The kitchen staff is overwhelmed and the rest of our food is now running behind. We have to wave down the waiter and waitress a few times to check on the remainder of our order. Since they were quite busy many regular customers would just walk up to pay their bill at the cash register and ask for a box and plastic bag. Some customers even know which drawer to open for utensils, plastic bags, spoons, small bowls no, etc.

The lunch special is only $9.99 for 60+ dishes as of April 2022. This is a very typical Cantonese style Chinese restaurant and it is very similar to Sam Woo. The food is good and the size of the dishes are fair. Give it a try if you are looking for quick and decent Cantonese Chinese foods for cheap.

Recommend their crab fish maw soup (put the red vinegar and white pepper that’s how to make it more delicious), peking pork chop, deep fried fish, Mongolian beef and the fried pigeon.

Nice tradition Chinese mostly Canton style cuisine. Lots of variety, may need to wait a little bit so time. Service may need a little patient as they serve so many tables. Would visit again when we are in that area.

I often swing by this Chinese diner to pick up good foods because it’s prepared hot and fresh in the stove at the time you order it. The ingredients and portions are not bad and sustaining my family’s appetites. Once more say, we enjoy the fresh foods and good portion s they servings to its pricing! NOT BAD!
